ESOC FP Civilization Tiers!

among the normal euro civs (brit fre ger), brit has the best potential, but they get countered by iro and otto more obviously too. so in a new meta without iro otto, brit may go beyond fre and ger.
asia civs all got great buff from the nerf of iro and otto. and india seems to be the 1st winner. anyway, japan and china is still vulnerable in early games(and wall is nerfed), but india itself is a rush civ.
sioux may become a bottom tier civ. cav+cetan bow age 2 play? they cannot train 5 cav and 5 bow in a batch lol. what can they do with their shit eco?
the same to iro. i agree with nerfing tp and aenna and warchief, but could you please give them steel trap?
i don't like the changes of spain. spain is now the most boring civ in tad: iro can play eco age 2 or semiff, otto can rush or abus or ff or even fi, but spain just ff cannon. ff cannon. ff cannon. we should give them more versatile playstyles, but fp just buffed their ff cannon. and THIS IS THE ONLY CIV THAT HAS 2 SAME CARD IN A SAME AGE. this even breaks the rule of the game design.

i must admit i have forgotten brits i would rate them between ger and india. and germany is just an insanely good civ . pretty much on par with the top 3

I think this is quite meaningless since it's purely theoretical speculation, but just for fun this is my guess based on the notes alone:

Tier 1: Aztecs, British, French, Germans, Indians, Japanese, Ottomans
Tier 2: Iroquois, Sioux
Tier 3: Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese, Russians, Spanish

Iroquois and Sioux are the most difficult civilizations to grasp to me, because of great changes for the prior and because of great uncertainty for the latter.

I'm suddenly overwhelmed with how much closer it is than RE already!

Vs fre/india it might be fair but they loose to sioux and spain too, so all in all they loose more MU than France, mainly because of the 2 falcs shipment and no musk, even if their semi ff is probably better than fres.

The poll though, any still think that Ottomans are top civ, but it is more surprising to see that Port is top 2nd civ in the poll.

I should strongly agree that Ottomans are still top civ. Judging the current opinions, I think India and Germany will be the top civs, where India top on non TP map and Germany top on TP map.

Moreover, here are my tiers-

Tier 1- India, Germany, Aztecs, Chinese, Ottomans
Tier 2 - Dutch, Portuguese, French, British, Japan, Spain, Iroquois
Tier 3 - Russia, Sioux

Dutch vs India and French would probably be 50-50 now. Im sure that Dutch vs Spain will be fair too.

I actually used to think that Dutch beat Port because I mainly played Port and didnt have any idea how does Port beat Dutch.

Who wins more match ups in your opinion? Dutch or Port?

If the +1 Bank card affect bank gather rate by +20%, it should be better than 3 vil card if you make 3-4 banks in age 2...

Ports are definitely not a top civ

yes their builds are a lot smoother with the 80f vills, but it doesn't help solve any Portugal's real problems.
