ESOC walls viability?
I know they were too good on re, but now with 50% hp and LOS reduction(which is good change) they are barely viable. What do you think, are walls nerfed to the ground?
Re: ESOC walls viability?
you can wall chokes or small connections of your base serving the same purpose, making him have to walk to your vills or units in not a idle way. Like yumi behind a wall you can't just stand there and siege it no mater how much HP it has. I mean yea going full water & no units for 15 minutes and just walls everywhere probably doesn't work anymore, but tbh it shouldn't anyways. walling important chokes is just as good imo, like on cascade range.

I agree, but still wall nerf seems too harsh. For example, they should have been made little cheaper, or build time reduction, or maybe just up it to 2000hp to be little more worthwhile.
Re: ESOC walls viability?
well, its already quite cheaper for its 5w cost I think. And it looks quite balanced now.
Re: ESOC walls viability?
Lol. Walls are already op. Why buff more? It should cost more.

It buys some time(like Taj Mahal Cease Fire) for you to get some batches out(if they were in queue alerady)

Walls shouldn't be a free hold to a rush. The game would honestly be much better without them. Requiring timing shipments and mm ect to hold a rush increases the skill cap and means that having more units at a certain time allows you to actually do damage.

I didn't had in mind free hold. I was referring to walls in conjunction with units. I should have said that in the first post.
I agree to certain extent about skill cap, but bear in mind that walls take vill seconds, resources and some skill to build adequately.
Re: ESOC walls viability?
walls should't be buying time imo but just help you get a better position in a fight.
Re: ESOC walls viability?
Why does everyone whine about walls so much. Learn another playstyle other than tp->military shipments->attack

walls on esoc are in a really good spot imo. Their def too strong on RE. and it would be so dumb to remove them entirely, they provide another level of strategy to the game, and civs like brits and jap benefit a lot from walls, and it gives them a better chance vs dumb civs like german and china that just get an insane amount of free units.
