Amazingly, it is already time for the semi-finals in the ESOC Autumn Championship 2017. This weekend, we will see the top four players of this season do battle for a chance to become the next champion and claim a place among the all time greats. _H2O, BlackStar_OP, diarouga, LordRaphael, Aizamk - all winners of ESOC events; who will join them?

Game #1 - snowww vs. goongoon Scheduled for Saturday 14 GMT

goongoon enters the semi-finals as arguably the hottest player in the tournament, both from his performance in knocking off Autumn 2017 champion LordRaphael as well as the drama. After falling down 2-0 to LordRaphael in the round of 8, goongoon reverse all killed in dominating fashion. goongoon showed the community the power of Sioux, being the first player in this stage of a tournament to take two wins and make iwillspankyou very happy. Of course, the final game on Tibet also featured drama. Riding high after a win to take a 3-2 lead in an Indian mirror on Alaska, goongoon led with Sioux and was counterpicked with LordRaphael's Aztec. After an uneventful start to the game, LordRaphael paused and stated he picked the wrong deck. After being decided by the caster to restart, goongoon was quite upset and left ESO. When he returned, with obvious anger, the tilt did not present itself and instead he was able to channel his anger into delivering the final win.

His opponent, snowww, comes through with much less fanfare. In fact, he didn't even have an opponent due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding his round of 8 opponent, the tournament Cinderella Tedere12. Without having to show his play against a round of 8 level opponent, snowww maintains somewhat of an advantage with the unknown. Between the lack of a challenge to snowww thus far, and the circus surrounding goongoon, this best of seven certainly is must watch. Anything can happen.

Game #2 - Mitoe vs. Kaiserklein Scheduled for Sunday 21 GMT

In contrast to series #1, this series is not an unknown. Mitoe and Kaiserklein have faced off in both the ESOC Warchiefs Classic and the ESOC Spring tournament in 2017 with a split in the results 1-1. The proverbial tournament grudge match, instead of giving a third place finish, grants a place in the finals. Much like snowww, Mitoe has had a somewhat uninspiring run to this point in the event. When the brackets were released, the potential practice partner showdown loomed with H2O in the round of 16. However, the unfortunate happened and H2O was forced to withdraw and Cohenski, who has been largely inactive for the past year, advances and was easily dispatched by Mitoe 3-0. In the next round, Mitoe faced off against a nerfed Tit, and after falling down 1-0 to EP Sepoy regained his composure and swept to a 4-1 win.

Kaiserklein on the other hand, has had arguably the hardest path to the semi-finals. Meeting up against treaty godfather dictator in the round of 32, perennial tournament contender PrinceofKabul in the round of 16 and Hazza54321 in the round of 8; no one can question whether Kaiser deserves to have his place in the round of 4. Will he show some more of the creativity he showed in previous rounds like the 2Rax Jans from the Wadamalaw island? Or does he think he can win with standard play against Mitoe's solid and standard play. Much like series #1, this is a must watch.

As always, tune in on Twitch.tv/ESOCtv!

Is BSOP in this tourney?

It's not the first time you come with bs arguments to criticize the tourney organisation while you have no clue about tourneys and you probably don't even play aoe3.

After all we've been through, have you no faith in your good friend Mitoe? :cry:

Very well then, in response to your claim I have composed a quick poem:

Taunt 11, @Kaiserklein?

Ye of little faith; Why dost thou worry?
Prevail over wicked Kaiser will I,
From thence all witness his curs'ed fury,
As from cannon shells, his villagers fly!

Fear not the Kaiser's triumph, kind Zuta;
Standing before him is Mighty Mitoe,
With whom there is no loss, there is no draw:
Only sweet victory, and his victim's woe!

Uhlans raiding, skirmishers ablazing;
Amidst the screams and chaos they do micro.
Settlers working, economies booming;
Behind the scenes and homecities they do macro.

Dark horse rising, for the Houshe he takes all;
In the aftermath, Kaiserklown's tears fall.

It's a bad poem because cannons don't have a bonus against villagers.
