Is watching the nearly 2 hr long video a precursor to posting in this thread? Do you want to summarize its points, perhaps, or choose one in particular to focus on?
Re: Interesting topic: 3rd Industrial Revolution
Summary: productivity has plateaued across the world. The solution to it is to improve aggregate efficiency, via a upgraded infrastructure comprised of: 1) Internet of things, 2) autonomous vehicles, and 3) transformation of the energy grid to 100% renewable energy. Germany/EU and China seem to be the best positioned to lead the 3rd industrial revolution.

I think you overestimate the influence of the internet of malware on increased productivity.
Re: Interesting topic: 3rd Industrial Revolution
Theres still a lot of potential, but we need to focus on sustainability. The resources are finite in the sense that we are depleting them much faster than that they are generated. Harvesting solar and wind energy, and recycling resources will be key. Furthermore, colonization of planets, nuclear fusion and the quantumcomputer can be considered key goals to increase our productivity.
Re: Interesting topic: 3rd Industrial Revolution
Once we figure out nuclear fusion in 50 years or smt that will last us basically until the sun runs out
