The official "Catch of the day " thread!

Post by fightinfrenchman »

Welcome to the new and updated catch of the day thread! This thread will be updated daily with new catches, however they will all be confined here and not in seperate threads so it isn't spam. To quote the rules:

"Any posts that are intended to be series of regular threads (Such as Tip of the Day, or Todays Horoscope) need either be infrequent enough to not cause a disturbance to other posters, or be contained in a single thread."

Emphasis mine.

Our first catch is a Blue Yeti microphone, one of the two used in recording the Revolt podcast!

Frenchman, thats a good catch, I hope it didn't pull too hard. Let me clarify a post I had seen in another thread seemingly indicating that the above referenced pictures is a pool net. This is sadly not the case and those who have attended pool school should know better. The above device is for the capturing of fish similar to the fishing nets used on AOE fishing ships, but the one above has a large gold colored pole. This allows for the object to be caught and held at a distance. Perhaps the next patch could include an upgrade for fishing ships "fishing net pole" which increases gather rate by additional 10%. This upgrade could be purchased at the market or at the dock.

I look forward to viewing other catches. Nothing shall be caught tonight though.

Well I'm certainly not great at playing trumpet but I can make some sounds. Cheadar, gustav, and D1ck all have a good amount of trumpet playing experience.

Today's catch is an economical one, Soda! Soda is as important to the basement folk as coin is for the dutch.

I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

It's Dr. D1ck's net, but it's been in the basement for as long as I can remember. I don't believe he's ever used it for its intended purpose.

Yesh the house above the basement is built on a slope. Often times certain size basements in America if they are to be considered living space must have many exits to the outside.

An interesting catch. I have a plant inside my house hanging next to the dinning room table. Recently, my brother said it was very poisonous so I proved him wrong by eating a leaf.

Today's catch is the tentacles of ethernet cords that make up the basements network for LAN games. The switch is a 3COM 3CBLUG24 Baseline Switch. $295 refurbished from amazon. We like to have no connection lag in the basement so we use good equipment when we can. Tomorrow's catch will be somewhat related to today's!
