Re: II tournament
How do you deal with Dutch or Japan turtling behind layers of walls when you can't age for falcs, let alone mortars? Of course, a hard rush, but since the game is age 2 capped, your opponent will easily expect that. The only other option is to just start walling yourself. Prisoner's dilemma type log...

Re: II tournament
Sadly, It would be more unfair than normal DE. this is true. It's not going to go the way people think. age 2 is only rushy / aggressive / fun in normal gameplay because it can pay off vs. someone playing for age 3/4 and going greedy. But if the game is capped at age 2, there is literally never a r...

Re: How the hell to deal with Spahi lamers
i think you want to make zamburaks. otto has azaps now but generally ranged cav spam is still the best counter. gurkah should shred azaps too.
you can do a karni mata stable start and make 5-10 zams and then go age 3, to catch his deli raid and then start to mass vs. the spahi.

Re: Small tourney
tbh I think Dune - The Eye is a great trolly map, since there are weird chokes and weird resource layouts (all the coin is in the middle of the map) but you can't build walls at all.

Re: Worst DLC
Italy has too many giant ass buildings which preclude it from being considerated a reasonable civ competitively speaking. Civs are not supposed to have this many big buildings. It was already weird with TAD civs having wonders and it's even more unreasonable with Italy. There are situations where t...

Re: Haudenosaunee Guide
haud is never going to have an insane eco that can just shit out units, it's just not the civ's style. you probably aren't getting crushed when you FF bc your eco sucks, but because you're not playing the matchup right. you can in theory boom with haud by starting with a farm, going 3, and making yo...

I just took 500w of tc cost, and wood gatherrate of a vill which is 0.5w/sec and wanted to calculate until the vills of that tc produced would pay out the 500w (tc cost), obv. need to consider in the payout time of an villager and build time of TC too, so the vills paying out themselves would take ...

Re: Viable Ethiopian Builds - Semi FF
early mountain monastery from a cow + sending 2v1abun twice is a greedy option that can work well, especially if you get xp treasures in age 1. I'd say its strictly better than sending 2v1abun and then 4v when you hit age 2, because it's like having a 4v shipment back to back except 2 of those vills...

Hey, welcome. Your Russia strat sounds decent but I would say you could improve it by aging with 14v and then skipping the market. You don’t need a market that early, it won’t pay off in time to make your early pressure stronger and in fact it’s probably delaying your early pressure
