Somehow this issue just went away! I've played the game about 20 times now, since I posted this thread, and didn't have this issue once!

Anyone else having this issue? The game freezes for 2-3 minutes (which in AOE 3 game time, is a pretty long time), every time a computer player resigns. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? It doesn't have to be the public-facing IP that's changing frequently, I believe it can be the local one leased by your router through DHCP, I actually had a similar issue with this a long time ago. Am I really the only one who gets this error?! possibly you have a frequently changing dynamic IP address, which is something the game is unable to recover from without a full game restart.
