Get a lower end gaming laptop and still upgrade that desk as you will want to game on desk with laptop anyway. Its really nice to get a new big desk.

Yeah staying in colonial is not terrible due to how good chuks eventually get with the card upgrade and brit consulate, however you only ever get 1 scary cav switch consisting of 7 steppe, 4+4 cossack, 10 rattans and some extra standard army. After that you can forget about cav.

it is normal that the window is borderless and thus not movable.
i also get fatal error when doing alt + enter sometimes or when changing any graphics settings (be it vsync, color space, windowed, resolution)

however for me changing this setting or any other setting in newprofile file will work good. .....

intel unfortunately is still not enough for this game, suggest you get one with dedicated graphics. perhaps vega 3 is an option???

if sharing a bigger screen on the table with gf is a concern i think it would be a wiser investment to get a bigger better table and another monitor so that you can both be highly productive simultaneously
