Re: How about a Chess tourney?
How about a new chess tourney for 2022, top 8/16 players with more than 10 games on chess.com. Players chime in $5-$10 each for a prize pool of $40/$80 - $80/$160 + donations if any. Thoughts? Winner 45%, 2nd 30% 3rd,4th 12.5% each that is fine by me ! I will more than happily play this always up f...

Re: Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Update 13.27885
Why would they take out the 4 Mamelukes cards from Ports ? That's an iconic card and Ports really need it to get a timing push in fortress. Likely cause they're getting some early game love and 3 Organ guns with target lock, which will make 4 Mams on top rather excessive. I'd rather have 4 mam's th...

They seriously took off 5 bills for Aztecs ? Like the civ was too much of an economic powerhouse ?

Re: Samwise12 French Build
it's time to bring this back in 2022 Who Samwise or his build? Samwise is one of the best player in the history of the game and invented a famous aggressive French build for an early rush with a musk/huss composition. Mostly outdated due to TP meta and better hunts in today's map but still a useful...

Re: Treaty > Supremacy
Fine, I'll answer it for you. A game's difficulty can be somewhat reliably estimated by the range of elo ratings. See: https://eso-community.net/viewtopic.php?f=315&t=17041 ... the difficulty of a game can be estimated by taking the amount of "skill levels" there are, where a skill le...

Re: Aztec rush build orders
If I’m going fortress I’d usually rather try and make it industrial and spam skulls in the pit. I don’t use the calmecac card at all, I just use an old diarouga FI build order that was used in RE. It pretty much works the same in DE and I make it to IV around 10/11 min if unprovoked. The best is wh...

Re: Treaty > Supremacy
I don't want to sound disparaging on Floko and the players in the last tournament but the level in supremacy has never been that bad. Do you really think that Floko would have done as well in a tournament with, say Kaiser, Mitoe and Hazza at the top of their game ? Does someone want to argue that cu...

Re: Aztec rush build orders
They have a real tempo problem in early fortress just like Russia and lack a good "go time" shipment like 9 Uhlans, 2 falcs, urumis or 3 cuirs.
But I feel like they have a harder time than Russia switching from colonial to fortress.

Re: Is aoe4 worth the switch/cost?
AoE4 really seems like a great game tbh. I'll always prefer AoE3 for different reasons (hard counter system, batch training...) but I can enjoy both.
At my level competitiveness is not a problem in any case.

Re: A reflection on the state of the competitive scene.
I am also thinking, with the way the modding system works now, I am seeing people starting to create mods to edit specific units and cards. An option would be just to have a tourney balance mod if ever reach that point right? at least it wont require a separate game patch Also I think devs really n...

Tbh it's really funny that on this thread someone is insulting the admins accusing them of favouring Breeze while in the other thread they are insulting them accusing them of being biased against him.

Re: A reflection on the state of the competitive scene.
If League/Dota players can keep track of 100+ heroes and items, you can keep track of 20 civs to a half decent degree at least. in professional league/dota, do tournaments require a certain number of unique matchups, or are players free to pick whatever they want? i really think a zero-civ-rule, fr...

Unpausing without checking first with the other player seems like a perfectly legit reason for admins to call for a rematch - I'd even say it should be an instant game loss depending on the circumstances. Admins chat should be public (view only of course) by the way you realise how tricky its to pa...
