Re: Revnak's Dishonest Rise to #1 In Team
Smurfing is rampant on the team ladder, including by "pillars of the community." Adding ranked lobbies would detract from the integrity of elo, though.
Re: s_deboer
I found him here: https://aoe3explorer.com/player/1484917?mode=teamSupremacy He's not on the ladder anymore because he has not played any ranked games recently. Thanks, Jim. Not sure how to add a player as a friend or invite them to game if they're not ranked on the hiscores. You've advocated thoug...
s_deboer
s_deboer, if you read this, it would be great to connect and play some games! You joined our lobby just now but the host didn't recognize your name and kicked you before I could say hello. Can't seem to find you on the DE hiscores and invite. s_deboer was a pr 29 team player on Legacy who only playe...

Re: Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Where does that article conflate anti-Semitism and anti-zionism? You're not helping your cause by jumping down someone's throat for simply pointing out that there is a rise in anti-Semitism. Funny how Israel is a colonial venture when over 50% of Israeli Jews are the descendants of Jews that lived f...

You're welcome, sad that wikipedia analysis is above the level of mainstream journalism these days.

The Jabalia "refugee camp" is a permanent town inhabited by the grandchildren of persons displaced in 1948. It's not a camp of refugees fleeing the current conflict. It's in the far north of Gaza where civilians were advised to evacuate and is a Hamas stronghold, according to Wikipedia.

On the subject of glitches, here's a treasure guardian glitch courtesy of the low elo legend supremo_mx. All treasure guardians attacking the stealthed native scout (taking no damage), while the explorer shoots from outside the guardian radius. Worse than simply creeping for many treasures, but inte...

It's minor, but I really can't fathom the devs' thought process here, maybe I missed something: Oct. 22: Portugal is laming explorers in treaty with the Bandeirantes card. Do we add a ransom timer just in treaty? No. Do we add a ransom timer just with the Bandeirantes card? No, we add a blanket rans...

This seems to be the main recorded games thread, can I add a couple of team games? Game 1 is really back and forth, snow is a beast, I nootka and sea. Game 2 has lots of nats and mercs. I think everyone played quite well, enjoy! [SP] schafsekel7[RU] & Mephist010[AZ] & Chusik[IR] vs Misha[FR]...

Re: Ranked Lobbies, It's Time.
Boggling to me that there isn't agreement on ranked team lobbies at least on these forums. ELO integrity is already 6ft under with smurfing in team and abusable strats like the barbary revolt or USA FI. Finding a fun 2v2 or 3v3 at an intermediate or high level was so much easier on ESO.

Re: US Politics Megathread
The standard "liberty includes all actions except those detrimental to order" (paraphrasing) devolves to protection under the 14th Amendment of all actions except those the judges view as harmful for society. This is highly subjective and fundamentally not a legal question the judges ough...

It's unbecoming that you are pretending that it is by using unnecessarily loaded language. Their definition should be "actual" and "intuitive" according to your perceptions/beliefs. You don't seem to like the standard that many judges have agreed on, from Marshal to Alito. Can y...

I would simply define liberty in a way more in line with its actual, intuitive definition. How do you propose Americans come to an agreement on an "actual, intuitive definition" of liberty? They don't need to. That's up to the SC. Ok, got it. You want an unelected oligarchy of nine decidi...

The criteria Alito insists should be used for a right to be considered part of this liberty: 1. It has to be deeply rooted in the nation's history and tradition 2. It has to be implicit in the concept of ordered liberty These are the criteria used by Ruth Ginsberg in Washington v. Glucksberg and by...

I wonder how it's going to work when abortion = homicide in Louisiana but people travel to another state where abortion is legal. Seems pretty silly. I can't think of another act/crime that is life in prison in one state but completely legal in another. There are many examples, e.g. what is self-de...

Ordered liberty as I understand it is as much liberty as is possible while maintaining order. A simple enough concept but how to define order? Whether or not the right to abort a pregnancy is implicit in ordered liberty seems about as subjective as whether it's deeply rooted in American tradition. ...
