Don't they have a rework plan in European?
The new civilizations that appeared in Age of Napolempire 3 received many unique and unique capabilities. But because of this, it seems that 8 European countries are indifferent. Now it seems that many people have given up their balance, do they have plans to rework 8 European countries to attract m...

Re: Japan Balance
i feel like the main reason I hate playing vs Japan is that for most civs, you really can only do one thing, which is rush them hard. It's just not how I like to play most of the time, but if you give them 7-8+ minutes of uninterrupted time they just become so hard to deal with Hitting them with a ...

Re: African Civ Design Expectations
It would be nice if some African or African-related civilizations were added, including Ethiopia. In addition, I hope that the civilizations of the African concept will have a completely new and unprecedented function unlike the crappy results made by the DE developers now. Ethiopia was a Christian ...

Re: USA speculation thread
yes, US is clearly a good choice if it is directly or indirectly related to colonization. But they were british in 1age and 2age. There are revolutions mechanisms to show their independence from Britain. That doesn't make sense to ignore it altogether, but we can't demand perfect history at game.

Re: USA speculation thread
Developers can also enable the revolution to run in 3age if they want to make more appearances in some of the many games in the United States. However, no such idea was taken into account, and the United States eventually Planned as an independent civilization. personally, I think they are ruining t...

Re: USA speculation thread
And in the US this time, there will surely be an Auto house and a unit with an incomprehensible multiplier. Also, thanks to some OP cards, the US will dominate multi-games for the time being. A lot of people, including me, have watched Sweden do that. Maybe the US is no different. Personally, I thin...

Re: USA speculation thread
Developers seem to have given up on creating new gimmicks and mechanisms like the old ensemble. Perhaps, we can be sure that the DLC civilization to be released will be Europe. Since so many people want Italy, maybe AOE3 will continue to add European civilizations. This is because it is a simple and...

Re: Buffing less used units.
If you want to use it, all units can serve as the main unit of the strategy. However, the Skim+goons combination is so powerful that there is no reason to use another unit. Even the Musketeer, designed as the main unit, begins to disappear at the 3age. But what do you expect? People will just use t...

Re: Buffing less used units.
The reason they are not used well is because Skim+dra is so powerful. Also, units with a long range in AOE3 have great advantages. The wonderful revolutionaries in Peru are proof of that.

Re: Balance discussion 2
And in the end, I hope that this value controversy will lead us to a more convincing balance. The top players are good judges of value and excellence in winning through action that is as efficient as possible. This debate will be proof that they really have skills they can't dare to touch.

Re: Balance discussion 2
Players make the best choices they can in order to win. In the end, in order to reach victory, values that work perfectly are important. However, the balance of AOE3 now confuses those values. Those houses and some units that are mentioned over and over are overvalued for the price they have. The ...

Also, some civilizations have too obvious strengths and weaknesses. Russia and the Aztecs are obsessed with the 2age early attacks, and Japan, Sweden, and Incas are obsessed with building houses to the limit. I also want to talk about whether the balance between civilizations, which forces only one...

To be serious, I may not be able to write anything to persuade you because I myself do not have such a good writing skill. And my ELO doesn't deserve to convince you either. Still, it is clear that AOE3's balance is heading in a bad direction and I want to discuss it. I think we can adjust the bala...

Balance discussion 2
Unfortunately, I thought that my former thread was completely off-topic, so I wrote a new thread. First of all, before we discuss balance, we have to talk about the issue of balance now. As I said in the previous thread, I think that the efficiency of some units and the unit's value should be reorga...

Re: Balance discussion
u16314 do you realize that food is by far more abundant than coin? If you want to nerf yabusame, you'd be better off increasing the food cost. Personally I think reverting the attack from 9 to 8 would be ok though. Or maybe reducing the RR from 0.5 to 0.4. The biggest problem wit...

Re: Balance discussion
I don't think it's really fair to say that changes were made because of Kynesie, either. You could argue that the wall nerf was influenced by him, but water changes were made simply because water was imbalanced across all civilizations. If you didn't have Schooners, then you could not go water. So ...

Re: Balance discussion
The main problem is that, like Kaiser said, balance is very sensitive to PR. PR 40's are playing a different game from PR30's, who are playing a different game from PR20's, etc. So the question becomes, which bracket do we balance the game for? Do we cater to the top 1%, because their streams and t...

Re: Balance discussion
Personally, I think units or buildings that are too high or low value for some price can be nerfed or buffed by changing some of their designs. For example, it prevents animals from sticking to the shrine and increases the basic efficiency of the shrine. And if the shrine no longer has to collect an...

Re: Dutch Openings and Post-Patch MU Discussion Vid
The Dutch don't have to rely heavily on mines in the beginning, so this buff will only show its true value after entering the 3age market and upgrading the market.
In my opinion, this is not a patch that makes the Dutch very strong.

It's a personal idea, but most of the balance controversy seems like a value controversy. Some buildings or units have too many features or lack of features for their price. Perhaps the most controversial in that area is the auto-generated building. I would like to hear from you another opinion on m...

Re: Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition — Update 20322
As a Dutch Most, personal opinion, I think it would have been better to buff bank for the Dutch. It will help the Dutch build banks and enter 3ages at a weak timing.
However, this change is not very pointless. Perhaps this change will lead to better play. maybe...
