Re: How the hell to deal with Spahi lamers
i think zamb start is good, but ultimately you have to mass howdahs because they can atleast face and somewhat counter the bombards. Siege ellies just die too quick.

What is Hausa's equivalent of TM?
Every civ gets some variation of card which buffs town center fire, and/or a buff to minutemen. Even Ethiopia has a town center card. I couldn’t find an equivalent card for Hausa. Such a card would be useful against certain matchups like aztecs, russian rushes. Or doing a defensive play. Is there so...

Re: AoE3 NEW 2024 civilisations!
Would be funny if they just roll with generic musk huss skirm goon and just reuse all the assets. ANd the only unique things are boring things like combat cards, hp cards etc.

Re: Opinion on New Natives
Royal house natives are almost always worth it in mid to late game due to their units, techs or big buttons. Berbers and akans are good african natives. Old natives are mostly the same, except jesuits are mega buffed.

Dori's website is back up, but he has removed all ranked and player information. I think esoc devs were also working on a website.

Re: Hausa - does it even exist anymore?
I play Hausa with all in strat, 4cattles first card age1 - eat a cow at 12 vills - ageup with berbers and raid with Raiders and berber cav. It works 50% of times at my level. I will try using griots with this all in strat.

Pretty detailed discussion here on aoe games, and some thoughts expressed here makes clear why DE did some things the way it did.

Bold to assume the GPS data isn't already being tracked constantly without giving any perks in return, in-game or otherwise.

Re: Hausa - does it even exist anymore?
It seems Hausa has dropped off the radar for essentially every player now. Does a modern guide & build order exist for them? Do any high level players use them consistently? I'm coming back to the game after a long break and I've always favoured cavalry civs so I thought hausa looked worth lear...

Re: aoede...
I think its just not possible on technical level. The record game files are basically instructions for every move of the game which play at runtime. For it to support playing all old games, the game will have to have all previous copies of game code. And in the jump from TAD to DE, so much internal ...
Re: aoede...
I think older game recs won't work on new patches. TAD games even less so. You probably have to watch it in the same patch it was played on. There was a tool mentioned on this forum which helps selecting a patch on steam.

Although this data is too early to draw any significant conclusions, it should only get better from here. Also, how is otto the highest picked civ? I would have guessed brits or france.

Re: Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Update 13.27885
As far as I know, even aoe2's competitive scene was kept alive by the community. Only after DE, MS started actively pushing it as an esports game. And since aoe2 player base is just 10x of aoe3, competitve players there have a large say in what they want the game to be. Compared to aoe3, where even ...

I would like a 1v1 or hidden cup with all civs allowed, but with proper restrictions and bans on necessary cards, revolts etc.
