Re: Worst DLC
USA made me quit the game.
African civs were overtuned but very well designed.
Inca was good except for their stupid fort.
TAD/TWC are just classics. Lakota a bit broken, other 5 civs good.

there may be some level of irony here about "freedom of speech" lol
the real loss is of course iamturk's stream. youtube should still be allowed though

Re: Other RTS videogames
Could try 0 AD. Other than that there's not a lot of good RTS on the market right now. stormgate is SCbis and not as interesting game. idk who thought warcraft3 was a decent RTS but it doesn't have an economy and thus is quite boring

Re: European politics
Surely there is a way of being critical of US foreign policy without needing to go all the way to support the Russian invasion.

Re: European politics
In the grand saga of global power plays, a tale unfolds where the mighty empires of Russia, USA, and China find themselves stumbling on the stage of history. Picture this: the once formidable giants, their knees trembling under the weight of their own ambitions, teeter precariously towards the brink...

Re: European politics
it does beggar the question. at what point are russia's interests so misaligned with the west's that they needed to start the war? you could make an argument about ideology when it was USSR v West/USA. but these days? ask the question the other way around. why must nato continually encroach on russ...

. . . Which is often illustrated with your jaded takes on and your unyielding requirement to take a strong position against something. e.g. against the US Democratic party, Israel, women . . . and I think Ukraine as well. dolan against ukraine? ceausescu's bravest soldier 🫡 yeah I think I'm wrong o...

Re: US Politics Megathread
Not to mention you are not bringing any argument whatsoever. In typical-emotional normie reaction you just throw the most common trope passed around in the 'general consensus of reasonable people' called mainstream culture and expect the others to sort of nod and project their oprobrium on the othe...

If you've ever read a Trump transcript you...

Re: US Politics Megathread
I could see this happening in the West/developed world at some point. A growing fatigue with political activism and a growing loss of faith in the belief that 'the people' make optimal choices when it comes to politics. It could lead to mass resignation, fatalism about one's role in society and a q...

Re: Israeli-Palestinian conflict
If Dolan posts about this topic, I do not believe in the good faith of his positions as much. There are many questionable takes that he's had throughout the year that just doesn't garner the same level of good faith. Indeed, upon just giving Dolan the slightest pushback, he cries, deletes his posts...

Re: Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Sorry, being from Europe the term "liberal" means right wing there and in the USA, "liberal" alludes to a left leaning position. Sometimes I misuse the word. I didn't mean to cause offense and would it be agreeable to correct me on your political stances? Cometk would be a lefti...
