To clear up: both French and German Skirmishers have Royal Guard upgrades, making them equal in skill in the Industrial Age, without any cards: http://i.imgur.com/liWTSDo.png http://i.imgur.com/rsXqnkn.png The French have access to the following home-city shipments: Wilderness Warfare (20-% HP boos...

Re: German vs French (Nilla)
Yesterday I was doing a 3vs3 and I was matched up against a rival of mine which he used his French and I used German. We both did Settler glitch. I had 32 SettlerWagon! When the match started, I deleted villies up until 55 or so (32 wagons and rest villies). He kept draining my score. His Genderm w...

Re: Not able to find a match on qs
QS is usually not played by people below pr 25. Also make sure you select "enable warchief civilizations", because otherwise it will be hard to find a game. But i also tried pr within 15 and i have twc enabled It's not about you searching pr within 15, the other's also need to do that. So...

Re: Key for attack move
I plan on using "Space" I wouldn't recommend that since you'll need to press space with your thumb or it'll put your index finger under way too much stress. Ideally you want your ring and middle fingers resting in the center of the number line on your keyboard so you can access all the co...

There is also a guide by Goodspeed, although I am not quite sure how old it is. And it also does not consider the patch and what changed there.
You should also find some guides in the strategy section :)

Re: We're growing old
When I first played as a 8yr old I only liked the German Sheppards that the Spanish Explorer could train so I deleted the rest and kept training until I had all German Sheppards. I can relate to that It took 7/8 year old me about 1 or 2 years to even find out about other civilizations than Spain Al...

Thats the problem with all of the percentage values. They all apply to the base values and not the current value... Which is kind of sad, but I guess otherwise it would be imbalanced.

Re: What if galleons also had broadside attack?
I do not think that would be a balanced change, since galleons/fluyts tend to have way more hp compared to the other ships. I guess that they can become pretty good if you use the upgrade cards from spain, but then again whats the cost of sending that? So imo they can be changed, but not with a broa...

Although I do not think that cav should be too effective against some all in jan rush. I think that defending that first is more important

2v2 Defending
Lately I have been playing some 2v2s with some mates. And everything is working out fine, I just wanted to ask how to defend versus a really hard rush by the two opponents. I usually play French or Brit and find it really hard to defend vs Otto and a second civ that just mixes cav. Any tips on how t...

imo the GP hunts are pretty big and the density of hunts is pretty big too in comparison to the map imo, thats why I really like to play Brits on GP.

What's the longest game you've ever played?
The longest game I ever had was a 2v2 nr40 which ended up lasting about 2:40 hours.
The enemy team had a japanese guy and he didnt resign because of his shogund and daymios and stuff, so we ended up playing about 2:40 hours.

So I cant help with China. But as Germany you do have all of your settler waggons on coin most of the time, just because how efficient they are and how gold heavy the German army is. For the training 5 Uhlan, what are you missing, maybe you can sell 100 food, if you have a bit overgathered on that o...

Strelets are also OP late game, because they are just so cheap and cost effective, and with the upgrades. And early game you mostly just overkill them, making them very effective for their low cost. And the fact that the infantry costs less and is trained in batches is very good in every stage of t...

Transition (mills, plantations, paddies)
I always like to try to end the game when I see my resources running out, because I dont personally like late game a lot and I think that that is a good moment to fight, because the opponent might just be in transition, and might not have so much units. But off course if that doesnt work, then youll...

i think adding one more villager at the start and/or giving strelets +1 range for every upgrade would be good while nerfing their lategame (oprichniks). on this way they can use strelets more while not hoping only on succesful raids from oprichiks. Strelets are also OP late game, because they are j...

I also hate it when people resign the second they are playing against someone with maybe like 2/3 ranks higher than them. I personally feel skirm cuir to be better, because the skirms can deal with both of those units, and if you get a flank off with cuirs, then you wont be able to do much because goons cant be a good shield and cuirs have op HP...subzero wrote:French skirm goon

Spies
If your enemy is able to get spies you have already lost anyway. In treaty getting spies means you drain quickly and lose the eco war. If Spies are remowed there will be no way to beat idiots who hide their units in corners. If he get''s spies he just spent a huge amount of resources, so you could ...

I think this depends a lot on opinions. Because in my opinion i find Germany to be way harder than just second easiest There are some matchups where its hard to play germany (like vs french) but I think in most games you just do cav semi and continue making only cav uhlans from stable while shippin...
