You need to ship the dance hall card and make ronin because it's the only way to beat hussar.

Xbow do seem pretty strong for early game with Germans.

Ports can manage a decent age 2 with the shipments. If a map has tp's then ports can take those quickly and boom off of that.

I feel like you're at a disadvantage when choosing this civ for 1v1 play. It just seems like all other civs roll over ports. Unless you get lucky I can't see how ports can win at all most times.
