Re: Mouse Sens

Ye half inch is a lot for RTS games. It's basically as much as you can scroll the mouse vertically without lifting the hand.

Re: Mouse Sens

It largely depends on the mouse too because some mouse simply don't allow the fingertip grip which is how you want to ideally play RTS games. With little mice and proper grip it's possible to do rather precise and agile movements. In RTS games you don't need to hit the exact pixel anyway so the most...

Re: Mouse Sens

2500 dpi with full HD resolution seems fine. I'm using that at the moment and it's the max DPI allowed by my mouse.

Re: discussion of wall macro

For reference, even just macroing the select TC and making vill in a single key is cheating.

well that's a macro, it's 2 commands. But I think the script doesn't even requires a key to be pressed.

Re: discussion of wall macro

There isn't a select pillar key, but even with that walling would be significantly less convenient than just hitting a button while you're looking at something else on the map. If you can't appreciate the difference between manually selecting stuff and deleting it vs automated macro I can't help. Th...

Re: How good are the Mahout Lancers and Howdahs?

To be fair the point of cav is not really to snare so other units catch up. That's indeed one of cav perks but you expect way more from such expensive units. In that sense the damage dealt is just as important. Great example of that are ulhans, axe riders or even just sowar. If the mahout connects w...

Re: How good are the Mahout Lancers and Howdahs?

Btw it's the dude on top of the elephant who attacks. This means it attacks at about 45° from where the elephant is looking during the animation.

Re: tabben vs. kynesie

My point is exactly that a fraction of second each time is relevant. Plus you avoid misclicks which is another big deal. Especially if you are shrining with 2 monks you really don't want to focus on walling to begin with. So every second saved in the process is big deal.

Re: tabben vs. kynesie

You can bind select all and delete to the same key so it literally saves 1 click per line of wall you make as compared to what you can do just in the hot key settings. It’s not game changing in anyway. It certainly shouldn’t be allowed in tournaments, but I’m tired of everyone acting like it’s some...

Re: India

when armies are approx 100+ pop india one is just stronger. Azzies can beat that but you need like 2 waves which you don't get time to get. And infinite urumi card doesn't help because in FI vs FI it's gonna be relevant forever. It would be different it if was long colonial into IV game where shippi...

Even with coyotes instead of skulls is the same. It's just that in the relevant time frame India is able to get more stuff, and with more eco even.

Re: India

all the active players asking for an india nerf, all the inactive are blissfully clueless. I think thats a telltale sign. They were already pretty good on RE, after a buff overall to the civ in general (cheaper houses), theyre over the edge even with the sepoy nerf. People just didnt know how to pl...

Re: India

It may not have been auto win but most of those game were in favor of India or completely misplayed by the India player.
So I don't rly know what's the point with that list.

Re: India

Outposts already do fine in that regard. Any further buff would be a design choice rather than something to address current balance. I'm not saying it's not reasonable but it isn't something we should focus on at the moment.

Re: India

Outpost buff is something reasonable but more of a desogn choice tuan a tool to improve balance.
Right now outposts are even underrated. EP maps and meta partially removed some of the reasons why outposts were not a viable option.

Re: India

India was never average. It's the civ with the most potential just like Jap. As soon as people figured out some actual build to use their old known strenghts they became top again. It's not just about bot FI. You can do usual rushes just to force a certain wanted reaction from the opponent and then ...

Re: India

It's pretty much viable in every MU atm. Even when it doesn't work it's very close to work andstill it's an easier way to play the civ.

Re: India

Define game breaking, because right now it makes FI a very legit way of playing, seemingly superior to more traditional way of playing the civ and certainly easier.

Re: India

infinite urumi is stronger tho cause it's a unique unit and literally infinite. It's like an infinite spahi card but with even a less counterable unit.
