Re: Record of my Predictions
So far in flipping coins to predict (coin predictions from last page) vs Princeofcarthage's predictions. Forjustice-Lecastete Coin 2-3, Prince 1-4, Actual Result 4-1, both wrong, but coin did better Snowww-Miggo Coin 3-2, Prince 3-2, Actual Result 2-3, both wrong, same pick so tie Turk-Hazza Coin 2-...

NA Mathematically Eliminated!
As of GUA going 3-2 in the series vs Bwinner, the Mandarin Duck Squad can no longer advance, as they have 15 games remaining and are 15 wins behind second place CMC (and they would lose to CMC under the tiebreak rules even if CMC lose every map). So NA are out. Amongst the teams that remain alive, S...

Re: Record of my Predictions
Based on the way he wrote it it seemed like he got the series winner wrong in each of his wrong predictions (except for the series he predicted that both would win 4:1 where he was both wrong and right I guess).Garja wrote: lol
In his defense he did predict the exact results so 57% it's not bad.

Re: Record of my Predictions
So you're roughly as accurate at predicting series winners as flipping coins would be? In honour of this I have flipped a coin a bunch to predict the week 3 series, let us see whether the coin can defeat the Prince. Coin predictions: Turk 2-3 Hazza Knush 2-3 Kaiser Snowww 3-2 Miggo Optimus 2-3 Sam F...

Re: Experience per Shipment
Yeah and i need more than the first 8 shipments or whatever, i was hoping for the first 20 or so Think its just geometric progression with 1.15? (Or that rounded). And Spains bonus is 25% now I think? So x*300*1.15^(n-1) for the nth shipment, (x=1.1 if civ is ger, 0.75 if Spain, 1.08 if India) and ...

It's not really the percentage that bothers me, it's the fact that it's "intended". If it's just because of technical limitations, I can understand Maybe your interpretation of Garja's post is right, but I have to say I took it to mean that the "intended" way was what happens 90...

A very strange point considering the map is irrelevant in a mirror? He didn't want to play mirrors period, which would have been fine if he'd at all tried to suggest fair non-mirror match ups. ... One thing you should note is that there are actually very few civs that can reasonably stand up to tho...

Re: [SKG] WickedCossack vs [NN] Goodspeed
I think the "wouldn't play 12/14 mirrors" is not really the right way to look at it either. Obviously I don't know because a lack of sufficient data from the stream but it seems like Wicked rather wanted to play Russia, India or Dutch on the map, given its no TP, these are going to be (amo...

Thanks for the rec! In particular its a nice change to have a rec where the poster lost. Yeah not the most interesting game by any means, I did watch it though and always appreciate replay uploads from high level players even when it isn't a great game. I don't know much about the rest of the stuff in this thread, but yeah racist abuse is bad don't do that.

The start of walking back the misguided aztec shipment changes is promising. Even more crazy (and needless) China changes is not.

Re: A suggestion for balancing non-TP maps
Sounds like a good way to add experience generation for non-TP maps without (substantially) affecting TP maps. But if we're trying to give no-TP maps comparable experience generation options to TP maps would it not be somewhat easier to give them all TPs?

I think fixed crates would be better game design for sure, and it also doesn't seem too far from RE to annoy me about substantial changes- particularly if lots of other things are going to be wildly redesigned anyway. I get that someone might disagree about difference from RE though as that is very ...

Re: "3 Settler Wagons" Shipment Discussion
From what I gather these proposed changes are more about making the discovery 2SW and colonial 3SW shipments less strong relative to other shipments. I personally think its fine for civs to have certain things that are strong relative to other options and so are standard. We don't actually need to d...

Re: If aoe3 had the same ranking system as SC2
Hmm ok quick and dirty (and possibly flawed due to things I'm not considering), so jp elo has 9355 "active" accounts (idk what counts for that). So the top ~19 would be the same proportion as GM for sc2, top ~457 Master, top ~2702 Diamond. So approx PR36+ GM, PR 25-35 Master, PR 16-24 Diam...

Doing TP rather than second village and sending it for 2v is very common.
What are you doing instead of it in that scenario? Skipping age1 cards entirely?

Something i've wondered about the tower for a while is if it's worth keeping it on the mixed setting to generate enough export for a batch of 6 redcoats, as if you ff as china you normally end up with around 300 export, so just shy of the 400. Does anyone know how inefficient that would be in terms...

The last 4 take off 6.2 ish seconds, not 5, I think The first 4 take off 8.33% of the build time, and the last 4 take off 4.15% I'd believe that if the base (0 vills) was 150 (then it would be the same as formula colo but on a higher base) but the base is definitely less than that (and probably 145...
