Re: MU of the month: India versus Japan
Well, if extra mm are not needed, a castle can be a cheaper alternative to cm. With a bit of luck 2 tc shots and one(2 otherwise)castle shot are enough to kill a sepoy. It has 3000 hp so not very easy to kill also.

Re: MU of the month: India versus Japan
Since Japan has a very infantry heavy(2/3rd or more?) composition, anti-infantry elements such as artillery or lancers on paper have a pretty good chance against them. And since India doesn't really have an ant-infantry artillery, how about mixing some Jat lancers ? Sure, they cost a card, but India...

How about finding the toughest no hope kinda matchups and play them ? Extra points for winning vs the stronger civ in the mu? First one to hit a number wins?

Re: When Should You Build A Livestock Pen?
What if the player gets like 7 or more yak, invests 200 wood into a trading post, doesn't build a pen, saves the yaks and when he starts his last hunt, builds a pen, does selective breeding and sends ranching? The food boost comes a bit earlier and part of it can be reinvested into pen again. If the...

Re: Grenadier Buff?
I feel like there's no easy way for russia to deal with cav hp as boyars dont help russian muskets. Cav snare is useful to catch cav or infantry. It also discourages massing strelets. Strelets do take 3 swings from hussars(in comparison 2 swings from uhlans ) and considering their numbers that can b...

Well, in Brit vs Russia for example, if the brit guy mixes grens with musk huss and sends cav hp, can the longer cav snare work with the gren animation?

Re: snowww vs Kaiserklein
All GGs. Was wondering if mixing in a few grenadiers with the musk huss in the second game could have been worth a shot. Strelets hit by grenadiers go down in 2 hussar swings instead of 3 . Ruskets also take one less shot from british muskets. Siege could be useful too vs blockhouses. I have hardly ...

Re: India
Outpost buff is something reasonable but more of a desogn choice tuan a tool to improve balance. Right now outposts are even underrated. EP maps and meta partially removed some of the reasons why outposts were not a viable option. There can be other applications of the outpost/castle. For example a...

Re: India
Well, I'm pretty sure making more than one will probably cost the game and I am only talking about building only one, never more. Also xbows do have a pop cost of 10w as well. Thats why I thought it costs about 3-4 xbows. However if you have both troops and the tower, going for the tower should allow...

Re: India
Will it affect the balance if the outpost be buffed a bit(hit points, maybe 500) or its cost reduced? I feel like the outpost can be an important tool vs sepoy and jan rushes. It provides 30 extra damage so that combined damage of 120(90 from tc) two shots sepoys( 2 tc and 1 tower but I don't know t...

Re: India
Problem with making cav vs india is that both of their anticav units are very strong. 7.5 speed zambs with x4 vs cav means your opponent cant trade well at all with cav. Well, the point I'm trying to make is a) you need to counter sepoys and zams with ranged infantry b) you need to counter gurkha w...

Re: India
Is it viable vs India to go heavy on cav and ranged infantry while keeping a minimal amount of anticav ? Sowars, lancer type units, find it hard to get past normal cav. India's anicav(normally sepoys and zams) do high damage so why not send cav cards and/or cavalry cuirass(if in age 3) for some adde...

Re: French vs British
Is it fair to say that owing to lack of skirms British have a weakness vs high hp heavy infantry? Longbows do 22 damage vs HI compared with 34 vs ranged cav(Yumis are similar but have more cards). India seem to exploit this weakness with sepoy heavy compositions. Dops do pretty decent vs Brit. Sever...

Re: Build Order to defend
Yeah this is a very effectiv card vs age2 russia since you one shoot both strel and musk with TC after this. The bad point is that you spend one card for this and russia can make it useless by playing defenssiv (i.e ff himself for example), so be sure that the opponent will commit to an aggressiv p...

Re: MU of the week: Dutch versus British on Hudson Bay
When it comes to the choice of anticav vs brit in age 3, is it better to use halbs? Lonbows, yumis and xbows have smaller multipliers vs heavy infantry than vs ranged cavalry. Heavy infantry seems to do well when combined with cav.

Re: MU of the week: India versus Russia on Florida!
Is it viable for russia to start with crates, like 700w 700c? Crates are pretty efficient and they help shipment progression as does a tp. How about fencing school next? Russian strength seems to be in big numbers and multiple outlets-bh and stable-and short train times should help maintain the numb...

Fine Article! Impressive work! P.S.-Please forgive me for noticing and mentioning this. It's a tiny grammatical thing. In the first sentence of paragraph 1, "Mitoe" instead of "Mitoe's" seems more correct(modifier). Some rephrasing would be necessary..Similarly, in the first line o...
