Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
I mean, of course it makes a difference who the dems nominate. One thing I'll agree with you on is that democrats strongly dislike Trump, so they're likely to want to come and vote either way. But the other way around is also important, and more up in the air I think: Republicans don't all love Tru...

I’d like to make a modest proposal for first world countries to import babies from third world countries (which is already happening anyway) and consume them as delicacies.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Is your point that the comment thread I linked is full of Buttigieg campaign affiliates trying to steer the discussion? I don’t like beating around the bush, so I would have specified if I was sure whose campaign was trying to steer the discussion. May be Buttigieg’s campaign or several different c...

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Just a guess, really. But if a certain candidate has a crack social media team and thinks he or she “won” the election, that same candidate wouldn’t just stand idly while social media tries to dispute it.

Max 2 kids pp should be a global law Agreed. Though then you get fucked up situations like China or India where they just kill off the baby if it's a girl or some shit. But our overpopulation is out of control. Yeah you obviously don't kill babies. You fine the parents or some shit. Fining parents ...

Re: Post Brexit baby boom
I have to agree with the Ear, there are probably better ways to “save the planet” than telling poor people to stop having babies, especially since porking is the only fun they can afford and many of them are also averse to birth control due to cultural or religious reasons. Advanced, industrialized ...

3) Nationalization of banks. This will not only get rid of the financial instability caused by banking (because the government will essentially be bailing them out instantly), but it also means that money collected in interest can be used as a substitute for increased taxation. In the long-run, the...

Also the media has no clue what is going on. I’m bouncing between channels and they are all showing something different. MSNBC is showing Bernie and Biden doing bad, but Pete Amy and Warren doing great. CNN is showing something different, Fox News is literally not even covering it. Idk where you go...

The Boys and Jack Ryan Season 1 on Amazon Prime are pretty good. Don’t watch Jack Ryan Season 2 though. HBO’s The Pacific mini-series is also on Amazon Prime and it is excellent. It’s basically the Band of Brothers, but with the Marines fighting against the Japanese instead of the Army against the N...

So your take away is that instead of proposing a well regulated economy with checks and balances, mainly just trying to improve the massive wealth inequality, we should instead create a dystopian communist wet dream that even Chairman Mao couldn't dream up. Please got to an ECON0101 class please. Y...

Didn’t @Kaiserklein report a similar issue where his elo or PR dropped after winning? I think the dev team attributed the problem to ESO being a decrepit, buggy mess to begin with. I guess the opposite is possible as well.

@princeofcarthage Why do you have such a hard-on for authoritarianism and specifically that of China? From what I’ve read so far, you clearly don’t know much about the country.

I guess Bernie wants to win the nomination first and cross that bridge later. Also, it’s not like his anti-fracking stance was a secret. The ban was included in his Green New Deal plan released last year.

If Texas votes blue in this next election I will take a bath in orange juice. That's about 80 gallons of liquid so you'll need about 80 of these. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Original-100-Orange-Juice-1-gal/10315381 You dont fill a bathtub all the way up, more like 75 percent and it has a...

Bernie’s tax plan is on his website. He is less transparent about how much his healthcare plan will cost though and it’s anybody’s guess how he’ll pay for his $16.3 trillion Green New Deal on top of that.RefluxSemantic wrote:Do you have any source on what Bernie is specifically suggesting?

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Well, my point was that Bernie and Steyer’s ideas of taxing rich people their “fair share” do not sound very fair. The flatter Scandinavian tax model seems fairer, but of course those two candidates won’t publicly support it despite touting Northern Europe as a model for our country, because that wo...
