Re: USA speculation thread
u11413 Almost everything is subjective and honestly almost nobody outside of America wants this when there’s so many better options. If they announced Australia in the same capacity you can bet I’d argue the exact same points. Also what impact did the United States have during 149...

Re: Indonesian Revolt Feels Weak and Out of Place
Finland does have the ability to build ‘villagers/guard skirmishers’ in batches of 5 at infantry training speed as well infinite crate resource shipments that don’t have to be gathered if you ship dominions beforehand but it’s not worth paying 3000 res for and another 1200 for guard upgrade. The onl...

Re: USA speculation thread
Well most of the effort on an actual new civ would be made by people not involved by those who actually fix the game. That's what people take issue with. It's a lazy choice that's easy to implement and doesn't require them to hire people for special work. Artists, voice actors etc. don't usually fi...

Re: USA speculation thread
People should be glad they chose to go for USA because of the easier implementation. Who wants the devs to spend a ton more time on a (probably broken anyway) new civ instead of making the game playable? Well most of the effort on an actual new civ would be made by people not involved by those who ...

Re: USA speculation thread
People are complaining about a new civ added to this game? They must not have been around for the dark ages of AoE3. Considering that they almost certainly want us to pay for this content while the game itself is significantly broken. Yes, people are complaining. It's also a very lazy and half asse...

Re: USA speculation thread
I dont get how people so anal about historic accuracy ended up playing aoe and enjoying it. The historical thing is mostly an excuse and for lack of better word a feel or emotion against having the US in the game. Unless you're a murican. Then you're stoked to get another chance to send the brits p...

Re: USA speculation thread
I dont get how people so anal about historic accuracy ended up playing aoe and enjoying it. It’s not historical accuracy entirely. It’s the fact there are literally 20 plus better choices first, but they likely picked this one because it’s a lot easier putting them in the game then say Poland, Ethi...

Re: USA speculation thread
Remind me again how mad you are about the inclusion of USA in a game that has you fighting the "Circle of Ossus" over the "Fountain of Youth" because it doesn't make sense historically? The non historical campaign was one of the sticky points of aoe3 and one of the reasons attri...

Re: Unpopular opinion, should Argentines be a Revolutionary or European civilization?
The thing i find amusing about this is that yeah, Britain rightfully has the Falklands and it’ll likely hold onto it for the foreseeable future. However once (if lol) Queen Elizabeth dies? It’s likely it’s going to lose a whole lot more. So my advice? Be very careful about throwing stones. :flowers:

Re: Unpopular opinion, should Argentines be a Revolutionary or European civilization?
If by European you mean is playable and functions similar to European? No I can’t support that for the same reason I don’t support the US. Nations based in the Americas should remain revoltionary only, though it wouldn’t hurt to change the mechanic and make it a little less alienating and less of an...

Don’t be ridiculous. We never had spiders that can instantly kill cuirs. They got eaten by all the snakes.Zutazuta wrote:

Re: USA speculation thread
Oh and as for what arbitrary requirements for a civ? Simple. It had to exist in the exploration age. I.e late 1400s. Whether as an idea Germany/Prussia or as a native tribe, mere existence or enough of a culture grouping. Honestly if you ask me Germany pushes it big time and probably should have be...

Re: USA speculation thread
America being in aoe3 as anything other than a revolt is nonsense, though irc they were the most requested on a poll on the main forum so whatever, get ur Murcia... I guess? That's actually not true at all. US didn't even make it into that poll and just about everyone on the official forums hates t...

And in the US this time, there will surely be an Auto house and a unit with an incomprehensible multiplier. Also, thanks to some OP cards, the US will dominate multi-games for the time being. A lot of people, including me, have watched Sweden do that. Maybe the US is no different. Personally, I thi...

Re: USA speculation thread
I also think it’s a little rude to ask for paid DLC when the game is in the state that it is, ignoring balance even, just sheer ‘does it work’ and the whole feeling it’s put together with masking tape and cardboard. Assuming that it is paid, I’d be surprised if it isn’t.

Re: USA speculation thread
Yeah honestly I think aoe4 should have been Victorian era rather than aoe2 pandering medieval again. Scramble for Africa, Americas still had a lot of stuff to explore, etc. it’s an underused era when it comes to games, though yeah stop before ww1, cus then it gets messy with flight being far more si...

Re: An exclusive look at upcoming DLC for AoE3:DE
My patch notes where every civ gets a variant on house factories was better
My concern was that if done the right way and based on the history of aoe3 de people would confuse genuine satire for actual notes.

To be fair monster trucks are plaguing both. I’ll give you failed to join but only to a certain degree. When playing quick search for 3vs3 from my point of view? The game only starts around 33-50% of the time. Plus the player base collapsed really quickly due to the issues. Also yes, aoe2 de was a m...

Quite honestly I do wonder how long it’s going to take for this to happen. Especially if DE continues to be... less than optimal, among other similar issues. Of course if you tried it, they’d probably file and a cease and desist and in a fair world you’d be able to counter with ‘Well your product t...

Re: Proposal: Quick search Aoe2 De for Aoe3 De
The honest truth is I’d rather quick search not be a best of 1 random map lame fest, where you only need to know one civ and strat. It skewers balance in favour of certain civs and screws over others. Still, most people’s attention spans are too short for anything that would require serious thought ...

I would love to build AI and I think this stuff is easily transferred to DE where the AI has gotten even worse since last patch but yeahhh, that’s a whole lot of reading and things that are going over my head. Guess my mind set isn’t the best for this right now. I’d honestly pay someone to help out...
