Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
IMO just remove this civ, and that is an entirely honest opinion. There are too many things wrong, too strong, too weak, and just plain broken with this civ. It is easier to make a new Sioux-themed civ rather than trying to balance the current Sioux and failing miserably.. Sioux are not broken, IMO...

I think allowing vills to garrison in tepees would be better, honestly.

Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
Oh yeah, that change was pretty cool. Not necessarily a buff to their eco though. The thing with sioux really is that they have a great fortress timimg with all the dogsoldiers, but they cant reliably get there and they dont have anything besides that. Although apperantly colonial sioux is interest...

Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
Sioux, IMO, are a pretty good civ, especially below PR 25. I think that Sioux, and, I think, all TWC civs for that matter, should be able to research steel traps, as well as amalgamation. If I am remembering correctly, the AS FP had sioux get like 2 free bison with each shipment, which was a nice bu...

Re: British Colonial Muskets
I personally don't really like exotic hardwoods. I never feel like its any decent when I ship it tbh. Exotic Hardwoods is a decent shipment that just generally gels well with the British agenda. I would realistically send it in a team game if I stared longbows, and even then only after wood cards a...

Re: Spanish Discussion Thread
Spain in team is pretty good, because of fast 5 and 4 vill shipments, which gives them a good eco early on. Also rods gel really well with musk, musk-huss. Skirm-rod-huss is a good comp if you have a dutch or india teammate. I do think that, like Russia, spain has not been discovered all that well,...

Re: Spanish Discussion Thread
I think maybe buffing the 8 pike age-up to 10, the 4 huss to 5, and make the 4 lancer shipments infinite. Maybe an XP trickle buff would also be good. For the most part, the main problem with spain is that they are an agressive civ, but are pretty slow. I think making it so that spain only has to se...

Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
You should move the adoption (25% faster training vills) to age 2, or make it 30%. I think a 5 vill card would be nice, or an infinite 7 bison shipment in age 1. That all being said, Sioux is a really good civ, whose tp semi is exceptionally strong in the current meta.

Re: German Discussion Thread
What are we going to do about war wagons? I think a range buff would be good, so they could be a howdah-esqe unit. Or reduce their turn radius.

Re: Possible Dragoon nerf?
Rifle riders are bad and ruyters aren't as good as goons because of their range resist. Bow riders were nerfed already Yeah, those units are not as good as dragoons, but, will we have to nerf them to be equivalently bad to dragoons? Effectively, do we want to nerf dragoons, or do we want to nerf li...

Re: Possible Dragoon nerf?
Now the real question is, what about ruyters, bow riders, rifle riders, zamburaks, etc...? if the patch team decides to nerf the range of Dragoons, will nerving the the range of the other units be required, or will other nerfs/buffs be required?

Re: Possible Dragoon nerf?
Dragoons are just such a good counter to musk-huss play, making civs like brits not able to stay in colonial and be effective. If I were to nerf goons, I would nerf their range, so that musketeers stand a chance against them, and kiting with goons is harder, and they get more damage delt to them. W...

I was running Aoe on a 2010 macbook pro on mid/high-level graphics card just fine, and that thing had like 4gb RAM and a shitty graphics card. Re: German Discussion Thread
I think that Germany's colonial potential is underrated really, it may have its place in the meta but obviously not vs the FF or semi-FF civs. In Vanilla, they almost always go xbow/pike with a few dopps and tons of uhlan. The reasons they can really do that is lower res maps, stronger bows, and la...
