There isn't really an equivalent to SOTL in the AoE3 community, mainly because AoE3 is not nearly as complex and nuanced as AoE2 (therefore, not as much material for videos). If you're looking for strategy tips, VeniVidiVici has some good videos (scroll to the bottom of the playlist)

I think team cards were the devs' attempt to carry over the team bonus idea from AoE2. Unfortunately it's a balancing nightmare, since some civs have way better cards than others. Dutch get team cheap market upgrades while Russia gets the infantry training card that lets everyone on your team insta- .....

Do you think the game would be more balanced if factories could be rebuilt? What I'm thinking of is something similar to Russian musketeers' fort-building ability, where the max number of forts is set at a certain value (in the case of forts, 2) and increases by 1 each time you send a fort wagon car .....

Yeah, this build isn't even remotely viable in NR 20. Neither is revolting for that matter -- your opponent is going to have a maxed out eco and army if he understands the gamemode.

I'm personally not a fan of team tournaments, and think we see plenty of standard 1v1 matches in the seasonal tournaments. I find weekend tours events like the TTM tournament to be a welcome deviation from what we're used to, and am grateful that there are people who are willing to spare the time to .....
