Re: Shaping The Development of AoE3:DE
Better netcode is a must! Also, it would be nice to add some QOL changes to UI. Can you suggest some quality of life changes? :) I consider SC2 UI the best and most ergonomic UI out there, blizz improved it quite a bit over the years. For example i really like ability to see hotkey letter in down r...

Re: Changing water for EP 4
I like the changes overall, especially culv price reduction. It should be cheaper, because it has only one and only use. About warships, range nerfs could prove too drastic in practice, it needs to be thoroughly tested. Schooners change sounds good, with it, all civs can do semi water without problem.

Re: Map diversity
About the amount of new maps, we are planning to release news packs of only 2-3 maps instead of 5-6 as before . But keep in mind that new maps is the way to keep the game fresh and brings new challenges. What if, we just got a tourney on 15 esoc maps ? In this way, you know for sure a big majority ...

Re: Map diversity
Firstly, two thumbs up for all map makers, you guys are great.
I would also like to see more water maps. As for land maps, I would take a small break from creating new ones. There are plenty already, which can be further improved I think.

I think ep should integrate simplified patch, because its lightweight and shouldn't lag that much.

What about 50f and 50c combo, or some other combination with wood.

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
In previous ep iteration Russia was good to the point of beating France. Currently I find that impossible, except in cases where French player is much lower PR than Russian one.

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
I really dont understand your logic. The change isnt just for the sake of changing them. Extra 50f in bank means their first vill batch gets queued sooner and that they have more resources after the last vill batch comes out. It can really add like 15 food to your count in total as Russia, which ha...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Yeah it's easier to rush, but it doesn't mean that it's better. 93 I don't think that russia can hold age 3 france military shipments if they age up themselves, because france will age up faster, with more eco, and better unit shipments. Maybe ep team should continue buffing Russia's age 3 unit shi...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
I think between all these analysises you can conclude that the 255 vills buff made russia go from slightly on the weak side to slightly on the strong side. If you were to look at it, it seems balance patches have focused on making "slightly on the strong side" more or less the standard. W...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
93 TP factor is map dependent, some maps don't have tp's, some have more, some less. Especially now, when we have esoc maps which provide great deal of variety in that regard. Now, after tp meta is set in stone, there is not much room for meta change in other departments, without buffs/nerfs to spe...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
That's 2 civs. Besides the buffs to France and Germans don't affect Russia more than other civs. I could go on and on. They still lose to Dutch, India, Brits, Iro, Sioux, Spain etc... while being favored only against China and Japan. Whatever change happens to meta, Russia will play the same. You c...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Is it possible that people figured out how to play against the common Russia styles? Low skill civ as Hazza mentioned, and high skill to counter. I don't see how they could be that much weaker after this small of a change. 'Twas a trend, perhaps? Its not just about Russia's buff reversal. Other civ...

Re: Isn't Japan lame?
Actually Japan's early game is quite weak if you manage to keep shrines at bay. It depends from mu's ofc, but ideally you want to pressure Japan early and not wait till they get large yumi mass which is pretty hard to deal with.
