Re: Explorer buffs/nerfs/tweaks
Does ep team plans to do something with explorers? What do experts think, do some of them need changes? I don't think any explorers need changes other than the various bugs associated with their stances. You could say sioux hero is way too strong for example, which it is, but that is part of the un...

Re: German Discussion Thread
Idk what can we do to ger maybe 7 skirm & 6 skirm, 8-7 ulhans, 8 brs, 11 jag Contrary to popular belief, the 8-9 uhlan shipments aren't all that great. They are very good, but the only reason that they are is because of the civ bonus not the shipment itself. Same goes for 8/7 skirm which is the...

Re: German Discussion Thread
Safest possible nerf would be to reduce uhlan shipments from 5-4, 8-7 and 9-8. I know it doesn't mean much, but it's good starting point.

Re: Explorer buffs/nerfs/tweaks
i think giving them +1x multiplier vs guardians is good. you can also nerf their attack by 1, so they will be worse vs other units, and give them 1x multipleir to guardians to make them stronger vs guardians You would do that for all 14 explorers, regardless their special ability, starting HP, dam ...

Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
The thing is, ashis aren't even that broken. Their stats are strong but they are very expensive musks aswell. It's really the yumis that are crazy units that are stronger than is reasonable. My concern is that if you nerf ashis or yumis Japan will be even more vulnerable to rushes, especially vs Ru...

Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
Japan is ok in this state, except ashis, they should be nerfed a bit. Speed shouldn't be touched, because in my opinion that makes them special. Ashigarus? were conscripts and should be the weakest musketeers in the game. Then again if this was realistic Britain and France would basically wipe the ...

Re: Portuguese Discussion Thread
Ports are already too OP to be buffed more. If you think their military is weak, make vills only from 1 TC instead of 3TC in early-mid fortress and you will need to make more barracks and stable instead of one barrack and 1 stable, so you can spend you resources in military. I still dont understand...

Re: Portuguese Discussion Thread
Ports are meant to be late game civ. They are not meant to be viable in all ages, and if you give them access to viability to all ages they will become japan+china+german in one civ (japan colonial play, german fortress play and china industrial play-beat that if you can). Than even captains if pla...

Re: Portuguese Discussion Thread
Nerf genitour and goons for all civs. Buff cassadoritos. Every AOE III community constantly rants about genitour, like it's biggest problem in game. It will probably be nerfed, but alone fact that you get it in industrial is nerf by itself, especially in 1v1 matches. Don't forget that primary task ...

Re: Portuguese Discussion Thread
Ports doesn't need any other improvements, because it wasn't supposed to be top civ. Casadores are cheap unit, why would you buff them? Ports has got also cheap artillery and the best dragoons. Ports is ok now this is just the wrong approach no civ is meant to be the " top civ " ideally a...

Re: Portuguese Discussion Thread
I'd move both the individual gunpowder-infantry improvement cards to the Fortress Age (one possibly to Colonial) and keep the combat one in Industrial. I wouldn't call it a much bigger problem by any means though. I was simply interested in discussing what to do with the 2 Organ Guns shipment, beca...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Give 6th vill and remove a food box. Economy is too weak on ESOC patch and your opponent gets always decent hunts which nerfs the rush. I much prefer maintaining the civilization design and just decreasing Settler batch cost to 255f. It's always preferable to make the civilization more unique as op...

Re: Spanish Discussion Thread
I think I would prefer rod +1 attack for the longer game. I think Spain is very effective, not bad. How so? Currently Spain is one of the weakest civs in game. Military cards focus on cav which is fine and rod/pike on which we all agree they are not useful. Also Spain's deck suffers from having non...

Ports get all musk/cass hp/dam cards in industrial age which is pretty late. One should be moved to fortress.
