Re: New Diplo Tournament :O
I voted $100 cash prize because I didn't read the OP and saw that as the least expensive for the tournament organizer. Obviously if you're giving it away anyways, I'd love whatever would go the furthest towards building a new system. Definitely interested in a treaty tournament. Would this be 1v1 or...

Re: more twitch treaty
Are you looking for more twitch streamers? There's a decent amount of treaty streamers. Conquerer999, queenofdestiny, Zivearia, St0necold316, IllusioNtEk7, and a few others stream fairly regularly iirc.

Re: Smurfs
I think a distinction should be drawn between having multiple accounts and smurfing. Smurfing implies having an intentionally lower PR or elo for the purpose of being able to play worse opponents. Having multiple accounts mean that you either want to hide your identity to have an unbiased game or t...

Re: Smurfs
Idk whats the big deal about smurfing. I'd rather play vs a PR35+ than vs a captain and I think most people would. The reason is I've got nothing to learn from people close to my pr. And I think its pretty obvious when someone is a smurf, you dont get outplayed by people on the same level as you (u...

Re: Smurfs
I like smurfs I think they keep people on there toes. The idea of the threat of a smurf kinda should act as a balancing matchmaker. If people respond to smurfs appropriately then they will play at there true or current skill level against the smurf. Um, what? If a 1st lieut agrees to play another 1...

Make sure he is port forwarding at the router. The router/modem will ask for the local IP address to bind the port forwarding to, so he should set up a local IP to bind to his MAC address to ensure his port forwarding is actually working for his computer and not some other device on the network. Rou...

Re: [TR Patch] Maps other than ESOC Andes
Soon. OP. But I meant we should play the maps we already have. Everyone only plays ESOC Andes, when Incan Alps, Toluca, Snowy Great Plains, and Northern California are all decent. If you want to make new maps that would also be good . I was wholly unaware these maps even existed. Perhaps a quick ru...

Re: [TR Patch] Maps other than ESOC Andes
Dang it, that sucks man. I agree with you though, playing Andes repeatedly gets old sometimes, and the common treaty alternatives (Deccan, Siberia, Himalayas) all have their caveats. Andes truly is the best of the bunch. Has anybody else tried other maps extensively in Treaty? Are there any "hi...

Re: What to do?
Well I'm not sure how difficult it is to keep the aura on most of the lancers in a real game; it depends how many units you have I guess. But I was imagining just doing a test of 100 musks vs 100 pop of lancers + missionaries. Shouldn't be difficult to test. I still think the lancers would win, but...

Re: What to do?
Yeah even musks rape lancers. This is also true. Although I'd give carded Lancers the nod vs Russian musks. Well actually, lategame with unction lancers probably win vs any musks. But that also means skirms with unction would rape them even harder. I'm not convinced that even unctioned Lancers win ...

Halbs rek lancers tho They don't. Halbs do 50(25x2) vs lancers while lancers do 60(20x3) damage vs halbs. Ofc you'd rather make skirms vs halbs but lancers do okayish, and maybe even will beat halbs after you get the additional x1 card and cav combat. Don't forget that halbs cost much less and are ...

Re: art hp card for port on treaty patch
Also keep in mind that while the top tier players have likely found the most optimal deck combo, what's ideal for their meta may not be ideal for all. For example, I rather like having art HP in the deck even in patch simply because my cannon micro isn't as polished. Because of this, I need all the ...

Re: This is my (fair) flame to the NR60 nilla community
Im mostly a normal (sup) player but I did play a lot of nr55 or nr60 on nilla back in the days and now that I returned to try it some I didn't really like what I saw, hence this post. Your observations with how people wall now is 100% correct, but as I say in my first point I do think that is quite...

Re: This is my (fair) flame to the NR60 nilla community
I have watched only a couple of recent streams of NR60 on Nilla, and the last time I played a proper Nilla (NR 50+) game was probably at least 5 years ago, so forgive me for any ignorance I display in my writing. What I saw in the streams and what I experienced years ago are two entirely different t...

Re: Is using Discord in team games an unfair advantage?
I think it is unfair to play with people you are familiar with. A bold statement. I know I'm not alone when I say I just don't play Age of Empires anymore if I'm not playing with a mate. The social aspect of the game matters more to me than the gameplay. Would you rather not see the sizeable group ...

Anyone can do it, so no. Certainly, people who are already friends have "easier access," but you can quickly exchange Skype details before a game in whisper and be up and running in a matter of 30 seconds. Host shouldn't kick you before then, therefore no excuse. You could now get into the...
