My guess: Bersagliere stats are based on age IV stats. The French early skirm team card affects Bersagliere and enables them for age II, but with age IV stats.

So... how many stars out of five would you give Malta? Italy is going to be nice anyway. Can't wait to send all the pizza and pasta shipments.

Re: US Politics Megathread
That is probably another extreme. Why didn't you just amend the constitution? To keep it simple: Germany went from monarchy to republic after WW1 and the old constitution was simply not designed for a republic, hence a new one had to be created. This new constitution was obviously not able to preve...

Look at the bright side, going the German way is still on the table. We got multiple constitutions in only thirty years! :)

Teleportation is historically accurate watch The Prestige Would be nice if you could keep an eye on the timeline when spitting facts like this. The historical events covered by The Prestige obviously happened around 80 years after the death of le premier empereur des Francais. So viel Zeit muss sein.

Re: Italy & Malta 2 New civs coming May 26th
Ye was thinking the same, then again Venice was the largest of the maritime republics and apparently the most powerful state of that era. Could've been Florence instead, I guess. I was thinking about Florence, Torino, or Rome. Sure, Venice was important, as was Milan, but I always thought its domin...

Yes, Malta seems silly. On the other hand, I think it was rather simple to do since many of the units and unique buildings are in the game anyway due to the campaign. So why not add them as a low-cost extra, I guess.

Yeah, let's reopen that Pandora's Box and also discuss the German flag, which doesn't stand for Germany at all. It's the two-headed eagle and is clearly a symbol of the multicultural construct called HRE with its German, Italian, Czech, Dutch, Polish, etc. subjects. Here you can find a list of Germa...

Re: US Politics Megathread
I know, the murican system is absolutely stupid. And I guess one reason the supreme court has this power, is that there is no united states. In European countries we would not have a supreme court with this power. Nah, that's a bit too easy. In European countries we had and have quite a number of d...

Still fascinating to see the influence single judges at SCOTUS have. Thinking of the Federal Constitutional Court in Germany, I even have difficulties to name a single judge. Granted, the judges only serve in their position until the age of 68 when they get replaced...

Re: Japan Rework
I don't see the problem with current Japan. It's a unique playstyle that some people don't like to play with or against. But it's neither overpowered nor underpowered currently. Changing Japan in another direction would just mean to take away its current uniqueness. Of course that's a good thing if ...

Lots of games/meetings/tourneys that is to hold in China, including Asian football cup, was delayed or canceled. Our own athletes are not allowed to go abroad either. Thanks to the virus, we're running back to Qing Dynasty in no time. Look at the bright side: the Qing only lasted for like 270 years.

I think it was a very calculated response. US doesn't want a direct confrontation with Russia but it wanted to isolate Russia and increase US influence in Europe/ Eastern Europe . I think Putin got played here right into US/UK hand. u1403 Why, do you think, does the US seek incre...

Just because they couldn't develop it to the level of US doesn't mean they were bad or their intentions were bad. Maybe som...

I don't understand what's going on in China. Is there a suspicion that there's a new corona strain that is worse than anything before, why is there such a sudden brutal enforcement of lockdowns. The government doubles down on its zero-covid strategy. It helped reduce infections significantly in the...

Basically Given the contrast between the blockhouse style wooden buildings in the front and the obviously very expensive and prestigious skyscraper in the back, I can only guess that it's a country that's badly developed on average but has a very rich elite spending its money to show off the allege...

Laws didn't originate based on emotions. Actually, emotions don't play an important role at all for (many) laws. Look at how slavery has been legal for a lot of time and it is obviously accompanied by a substantial amount of negative emotions. Laws are nice because laws are simple: they are the outc...
