Re: Efficient Swings to kill a vill
I'd rather copy/paste a already made post but can't be bothered to do it on my own, at least for now. But who knows, I might do that next weekend

Efficient Swings to kill a vill
I was lurking on some old AoE3 forums where I came across this post. This guy has written number of hits required by single cav to kill a village. If you find anything wrong in the figures feel free to correct(no flame pls). So here it goes. ----------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Why do gamers keep buying sports games
4666 Actually, sometimes fps games will feel hard to get on. In my opinion, it averagely takes 7-9 months to have a perfect aim with a gun. Since fps games nowadays come with exciting features, it increases complexity. I know games of other genre are quite hard and complex, but I think you misunder...

rts games are always harder to play than games of other genre like rpg fps which are quite enjoyable without putting any/much efforts.

I think you have this file ESOCP3.dll in bin folder that you can try to delete and then restart the installation. EDIT: No wait, Line 6 says something like "Access refused" (?). Maybe fixing the permission can fix the installation. You can do that by right click on the bin folder > Propert...

Thats too much work
I doubt that all they have to do is dump all the data and transfer it to the new machine.

Not sure it's gonna be enough for them...
They can always use 64-bit machines for their servers but well seems like its a dead game for MS already.

Re: Pr ladder ends in 2038?
I'd be more worried about the player state haha. That would make the game 33 years old, we're in a "dying" state after 12 years.. From what point of view are we in a "dying" state right now? Need I link the Steamcharts again? I think the point is to have good standard of play an...

Re: Pr ladder ends in 2038?
I think the games is dead by 2030 anyway. We currently have less number of pro players in the game and and the base is decreasing. Ryan already left the game(may come back, who knows) jap community is dead already, some good players 91, gs, sam and many more are gone but unless MS releases some expa...

Re: Which Civ Relies on Shipments the Least
I'd say, I have High Plains my mind when I speak, so making TC near to 2nd and 3rd hunt, having some even age2 skirmishes and only after then going age3 because you want to get control on some more mines and hunts and to have an anti musket army while fighting for the TP stagecoach line. PS: I also ...

Re: Which Civ Relies on Shipments the Least
Ports can have fortress agenda, it gets one more TC, access to Caçadores, Dragoons which can beat almost every unit brits can make(with a bunch of cav ofc). Plus this setting will be fast only on 3 or 3+ TP map where stagecoach can increase the pace of the game.

Re: How to get better
And imo port should play either age 2 or age 4, skipping fortress age. Reason: If you wanna take map control, just play age 2. At least you're fast, and with tc mm you can hold the outside tc. If you dont wanna take map control, age 4 factory/jinete goon/heavy cannons are important for you. Port do...

More emphasis on natives, please god no water maps. Well, we can add natives, but a large majority of them are bad, so they won't be used anyway.
