Re: The card "stonemasons" worth it?
yes it was mainly aztec I was talking about when i said its useful for treaty. agreed. I think it's actually necessary for az , and they can basically fit it in their deck, but they might be the only civ its necessary RE otto can also fit in whatever shit they like :p What's the downside? Does ever...

Re: The card "stonemasons" worth it?
While it would indeed be "cool" to see more cards, more variety of units (Tashunke, Halbs, Mantlets, Keshik, etc...) this is and will not be goal for EP. The goal for EP is to create a better version of DE and all people in here being mad that DE developers literally release a fancy-looki...

Re: Ottoman Discussion Thread
Pretty sure China, Japan (<- not sure about this one, maybe Kaiser is just bad ), and maybe Iro, can beat Otto on high TP maps as well, but most Euro civs will struggle pretty hard in this situation vs Otto, yeah. Pretty sure most euro civ can totally beat otto even on heavy TP maps. On EP they cou...

Re: The card "stonemasons" worth it?
Can we boost the card to 85% / 90% to make it worthwhile on EP?
I think there are a lot of terrible cards that should be boosted to improve game variety / creativity in strategies.

Have you seen the rest of the internet? Sir Musket was probably the only toxic part of the community, and he is shunned by most people.

Re: Unusual strategies: Want to brain storm
You can find a tonne of good stuff on the old AOE3-Heavengames strategy walls. The game was less sharp then, so there was a lot more viability with semi-crazy strategies.

If there's TPs / Sea, it is Otto favoured imo due to the ability to apply early pressure. Fighting in fortress is tough but if Otto plays right it's hard for Germany to do much vs Jan + abus + falcs + mams.

Re: Gathering rate is not balanced!
Any update on this? Also wondering if there's any impact on the mechanics if another multiplayer is present. Will the animations sync, or is it possible for Player A, villager 1 to gather at a different rate to Player B, villager 1, even if they're both going from the same source? Is the animation ...

Re: Gathering rate is not balanced!
Nah, I didn't capture the gold values here in this log. I'll do a rerun of a test log later with the actual gold current value. For reference: Pos is the new anim position between 0 and the animation length. Clock is the time elapsed since the unit has spawned. Both values are seconds here as float...

Re: Gathering rate is not balanced!
Here's another possible explanation: it doesn't matter when the animation gets finished or if it reaches a certain sequence. Once you task the villager on a resource, he goes into "wood gathering mode activated" and a timer is assigned to this continuous activity. As long as the timer run...

Re: The Fallacy of W̶i̶n̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ Having Fun
Many. If you think that's relevant, it seems you missed the point. I don't see it that way, it proves the opposite of the initial claim — if your opponent can still throw the game so that you can win it, then perhaps you shouldn't resign. On the contrary, there are many instances, on the example of...

Re: The Fallacy of W̶i̶n̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ Having Fun
You are again missing the point GS, I am all for resigning when the game is lost, in Aoe 3 I am not saying stay till your last vill is dead, but the point at which callen resigns is not often lost, and thats annoying. Exactly this - most players are reasonable. If you're in a 3v3 and your two team ...

I get a lot of flak for resigning games early. Allow me a rebuttal. Whom do I get flak from? Teammates. Why? They're having fun. It's fun feeling the slow creep of winning water. You have 112 villagers and more units than anymore. You're slow pushing a 2nt lt, or barely holding a brig but holding. ...

Wise decision to take them down, we all commit some oopsies occasionally, maybe you wanna keep those to a minimum.
