What this would entail is updating match results live during streams or sometime later that day after streams, and also inputting stream dates for events....

I think aoe2 uses a nice system here, which is all top players (or all qualified players) providing a list of their own seeding of the top16 and then making a list out of that. That isn't consistently used. Most events are just seeded by highest achieved elo (rather than current elo) to promote alw...

As an AoE2 'decent' player, when playing vs the American civs its very hard to know what counters what as all of their stuff is on foot (infantry), therefore no cav, therefore full skirm should be best.

Now I know this isn't the case but that isn't intuitive to new players.

What is probably happening here is that just like in AoE2DE, rating on different ladders are linked to help players reach their correct rating faster. So if you are already 'high' rating on one ladder then start playing on a different ladder for the first time it will boost your rating to help you g...

I heard that in aoe2 de the elo you get doesn't depend on your team mate. Like if you're a 2000 elo with a 1000 elo player and beat 2 1500 elo players, it's like you beat a 1500 elo players in 1v1 and you get 1 elo. That is exactly how elo works. If they are a higher rating they will get less point...

It is not strictly viewers.
