Re: 2020 US Elections
I don't see why the courts would order them to stop counting votes I'm pretty sure this is being misreported. Trump said he wants votes that are received after election time not to be counted, but it's being announced as though he wants them to stop counting legitimate, timely votes. Except that he...

Re: 2020 US Elections
Like any normal person, but Trump stoking the fires means that any decision that goes against him will play to his base that the election is rigged and that the "Deep State" is against him.Goodspeed wrote:I don't see why the courts would order them to stop counting votes

Re: 2020 US Elections
Looks as though Michigan, Pennsylvania or Georgia will decide the election and all of them sit on a knife edge right now. Any one of them goes Biden and it should be enough. All of them will be razor thin margins and all of them will probably have long recounts and be dragged through the courts. Pre...

Re: 2020 US Elections
Arizona pick up for Biden is huge. Can afford to lose Pennsylvania as long as he can also grab Nevada. Also chance of a tied Electoral College is growing, which would be completely 2020, but would also all but guarantee Trump victory.

Re: 2020 US Elections
Looks like Biden overperforming what Clinton did in white/older/suburban areas but worse with Cubans in Florida. Bad news for Florida but if that trend holds for the country, it means good things for Biden in the rust belt.

Re: 2020 US Elections
Don't really care about NE2 or ME2 and haven't looked into them.
Edit: When putting this together, I wanted to be pretty negative in my outlook. Pretty much gave Trump an extra +2-3% on most polls.

$10 on Trump to get 201-250 Electoral Votes @ 8.00Riotcoke wrote:Anyone got a bet on it?
$10 on Biden to win @ 2.20
$5 on Trump to get 251-269 EV @ 13.00
$10 on Biden to get 270-299 EV @ 9.00
Essentially my prediction is Biden wins with 278 EV.

Re: 2020 US Elections
Depends entirely on how Florida (and Texas) are going. If they both go Trump, then I don't think it will be called for at least a couple of days. If either one goes Biden, then it'll get called the night of.XeeleeFlower wrote:Any predictions as to when they'll actually call it?

Very cool, very normal https://twitter.com/hutchinson/status/1322604169392320512 What time do they show guns? I couldn't catch them. There was a whole thread of video/witnesses that claimed it. Don't think it is shown in particular on this video. Also there is still the argument to made that using ...

Can anyone explain wtf this is about? Like it genuinely doesn't look like Melania whatsoever right? Am I falling for some dumb hoax or is Trump literally going around the country with a Melania body-double?

Re: 2020 US Elections
The last point is likely to be a significant factor. Apparently there are lots of market research companies in the USA that conduct surveys by using samples of 700-800 respondents. This is a way too small sample to allow a good confidence interval (~95%) for a representative sample. But I've read s...

Re: 2020 US Elections
I still fear low turnout for Dems on election day. I'm starting to get a similar vibe to 2016 where people start to think it is sewn up. Nobody is thinking this, in fact every Democrat I know is disproportionately freaking out thinking that Trump is basically certain to win Ok that's good. Sometime...
