I'm looking to improve my unit micro and was wondering, what are the most useful unit micro tips you've all picked up will playing age?

Any and all tips are welcome; i.e. control groups, attack moves, hotkeys, etc...

Somewhat related tip - once you reach certain milestone levels for an online hc, all hc's you create will start at that level. I believe the levels are 10,25,40,50, 80,... or something like that.
