Re: The
I still think there is a high possibility of anything existing outside the good ol' Space-Time Continuum m and that therefore you could make the argument for that 'anything' to be called 'a Higher Being' who/which would then be all-knowing. Personally I lean more towards a Buddhist/Hindi cyclical vi...

[ You know, you could maybe use a little bit of awareness of what your capabilities are. Touche, sir. Perhaps I myself am a victim of the Duning-Kruger effect. But tell me where I go wrong? AFAIK Einstein theorised time passes differently and as such you might view one now and I in a spaceship anot...

It's hard to fathom fully but there must be a point where all time exists in 1 single moment which would mean your future is destined or even that there would be room for a being existing outside time, maybe even giving advice. 7056 In any case, just thinking about Einstein realising time is past-pr...

Re: The
what I really get excited about is the idea that time can be manipulated and that there must be a dimension in which all time is 0 and therefore the future is equal to the past.

The existence of life is highly unscientific and illogical. This is my conviction based on scientific data. It is a classic 'black swan theorem'. We were taught to believe it without any explanation other than it was how it happened. And anything questioning it is dismissed to maintain the historic ...

To be more precise building 1 complex protein string out of molecules and then ordering a number of them to create RNA. I believe it's around 200+ of them in a specific order then a number of RNA strings to create living DNA. And the assumption is made it must be sequenced all at once in an oxygen-f...

The fact we are here and have not heavily mutated according to Darwinian theory is merely more proof. Don't you know that is part of this scientific conundrum, the fact we are here and so similar to other life. Also the fact you're accepting these enormous odds as chance makes the argument only stro...

But that's the thing: It's a string of successive coincidences eventually tallying up to a ridiculous high improbability when moving from individual proteines to RNA and then DNA in an oxygen-free environment.

I'm sure you would be fine with a low armrest and trackball and lefthanded Ikea desk of >500 euros. This is my chair ...

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
I think the relationship between social unrest and the need for a safe refuge of illegal capital will cause btc to reach enormous spikes. And the chances of no big crises at all occurring in the coming decades is incredibly slim.

Re: Carpal Tunnel Mitigation
One of the things that I struggle with is desk/chair height. I have really long arms relative to my body, so I try to raise the seat as high as possible until my legs are actually touching the desk, but even then my arms still reach a bit lower than the desk which hurts my posture a bit. You can bu...
