Blackstar h20 german mirror spring 2015
Was watching this old rec asc map (it’s on YouTube) where they both make essentially only dopp uhlan. but I was wondering why they didn’t mix in more xbow seems like it could have made a real difference. Or even if one had done Xbow Pike. Wouldn’t that have beaten uhlan dop? More cost effective even...

Re: How do you make a smurf account?
I want to make a new account because A:jgals was originally not me B: its really hard to up that rank even after winning for days straight. I guess that's because the account has thousands of games on it already so it doesn't make a big difference

Re: the hidden bonuses of using legendary WC units
A good thing about these units is that the firepit costs 100w while plantations cost 800w (putting vills on plantations is 20 times more expensive in terms of wood, since the firepit holds 25 while plantations hold only 10 vills). On top of that, vills at the firepit gather an equivalent of 0.6g/se...

Re: the hidden bonuses of using legendary WC unit
Yeah I’m pretty sure even map upgrades like Andes and gp don’t even affect train speed. I was pretty sure they did or maybe they used to but they don’t now I don’t think can anyone confirm? And true with Aztec you already have a lot of dancing anyway with wp so it’s not a waste of vs you could have ...

By this I mean Dog soldiers and skull knights. Considered noob units by some, but let me give you a few reasons why these two units are OPAF. First and foremost is no upgrade cost. If you are able to mass a ton of either through cards or firepit, while both you and your opponent are struggling to ge...

Re: Civ Ranking in terms of Boom Difficulty
8934 I mean, that's basically how everyone is cowing. But still, when you have 30 sheep + 20 cows, and you always need to delete them, task a vil on them and shift click him, and make the livestock again, while making other stuff, it's obviously not easy to do. Again: give me one thing harder to do...

Re: Civ Ranking in terms of Boom Difficulty
I mean, what exactly is harder than cowing in treaty booms? It's just the hardest mechanic you find there. Anyway yeah, shipping team sw obviously hurts the boom, but on TP this shipment doesn't exist one thing that is harder is when u have a team mate who is japs and wants all the cows ASAP even s...

a question of rank
I know there have been other threads about rank lately. This one is a bit different. I would like to hear from some of the better players who visit this forum especially. I basically peaked at MS last time I was playing AOE heavy, and this time as well. I know if I picked my matches more carefully a...

Re: How to beat the longbow
yea the thing about LB is they are better at holding ground than taking it. In order to take ground the brits need something more powerful like musks or at least a lot of pikes. therefore, do as Amsel said above, and also focus on digging in yourself, maybe getting up to fortress and getting some ca...

Re: Suggestion for maps in EP
8818 I think it might be better if you limited it to 3 TPs, and added some ice pathways. Players might be tempted to FB in the middle to gain all the resources, and then whoever loses map control ends up losing the game. The ice paths add an interesting dynamic because it means that if a player con...

Re: Suggestion for maps in EP
so I was trying to make a sample map for the idea I had. Obviously the hilly part in the center would have to be toned way down for the actual map. But is there one like this lready? Also how do you place trade route sites? I put them in but they never actually showed up just the weird beacon symbo...

Re: Civ Ranking in terms of Boom Difficulty
With a card you can train cows, they have a build limit of 20. That's why you boom with 20 cows and 30 sheep. That's also what makes it 'hard' -> the fact that you have to manage those animals. Ah that explains it, mircomanaging both cows AND sheep sounds challenging. at the pinnacle of this micro ...

Re: flamethrowers the biggest troll unit ever?
I sometimes play flamethrower games so this is what I can tell: Remember that they are infantry not artillery! Cav works especially lancer-type units, so do dragoons because they are fast and can shoot flamethrowers one after another Cannon+cav is the best combo against them wow do they really have...

Basically ANY unit composition that can kite. Flame Throwers have 10 range. yea but we all know what happens if you kite it doesn't work if hes afvancing on your base because you have to give up ground to do it. any kiting unit will not make significant impact on their range resistance before they ...

flamethrowers the biggest troll unit ever?
I have had a lot of trouble with flamethrower masses. Mostly in team games probably, but I recall it happening in a few treaties I played too. Seems like nothing beats the FU flamethrower. Maybe FU royal guard cav, but you don't always get that depending on your civ. Culverin don't seem to work beca...
