He hasn't been doing a great job building beyond his base so far To be fair he'd be doing better if there wasn't such a culture of malice towards the (rest of the) democratic party among his supporters. But I also wouldn't describe him as a coalition builder. He doesn't seem to be going for broad a...

Any system that excludes certain demographics from voting risks (I would argue all but ensures) that said demographic won't be represented in government, and will be exploited/marginalized. Maybe everyone should have the right to vote, but some people's votes should carry more weight, because they'...

Something to note here is that an HP nerf isn't significant. The unit is mostly used for its buffs, not for tanking.Astaroth wrote:If a unit that is average at best (Idk, maybe it is OP, but that isnt really proven) gets nerfed significantly, then chances are it just wont be used.

Re: Limited Pre-Winter Adjustments (EP7)
Is the unit really OP? Or are people just surprised by their use and thus consider them OP because they dont know how to deal with them (yet)? Some combination of the two. I think it probably was already viable but people needed that extra little push to start seriously testing it. But I don't thin...

It also makes sense for monks to have low HP. They are untrained in fighting and wear no armor.

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
The choices your government makes affect you. You deserve a voice for that reason alone. What you choose to use that voice for, and how much effort you put into using it correctly, is up to you. You deserve it regardless. I can relate to the "cba" part, but it has no bearing on whether or ...

Re: ESOC Patch 7.0.0.0 released!
Btw, isn't it also possible to remove the 100w+100f and 100c+100f starts and keep wood, coin and food starts? Then if a civ is really problematic with certain crate starts, it's always possible to fix their crates (like what happened with china). However, because the double random crates don't exis...

Everything can be judged. Diarouga said it "proved him right" which I thought would be impossible in 2 days time.deleted_user wrote:@Goodspeed I just conceived this idea last night. It's younger than EP 7 which you say needs time and cannot be judged yet.

Re: ESOC Patch 7.0.0.0 released!
Is there really not consensus on what "fixed crate" means? There is. I think the disagreement is about what the fixed crate should be for each civ. I think every civ should get the best possible crate, others are saying give them food to avoid the relatively large difference between civs ...

Re: ESOC Patch 7.0.0.0 released!
I mean the whole fixed crate discussion started essentially because Germans get a TP with 200w. Now you're suggesting to give every civ an extra wood crate. That doesn't make any sense. You'd compensate by nerfing Germans elsewhere. That way they're equally balanced in every game instead of praying...

Lol EP7 is 2 days old, it's not proving anyone right or wrong yet. We'll see how it turns out in the tournament. Personally I wouldn't have been interested in watching that if EP7 had been another minimalist patch. Now, I'll probably watch some of it.

If 60% votes for but doesn't particularly care either way, and 40% votes against but is (relatively) passionate about the issue, then 60% is not enough imo. It's more nuanced than simply "majority rules". And even if everyone felt strongly about the issue, if the community is split on it t...

Guys, that poll was about -100c, not about fixed crates. But whatever fits your narrative I guess Fixed crates are +20 in the public and +50 in the beta team. Both substantial numbers. My post was about the linked poll which is +80 and is not about fixed crates, so idk why you're replying to me, bu...
