Yeah, all the maps in standard map set are used for ranked games.

Hi, welcome to Aoe3. You can play the standard map set in lobbies or skirmish to play in the ranked map pool. Map selection screen will show some basic info about the map, trade route, eco distribution, outlaws and mercenaries. There's a team standard map set too.

I kind of agree with the post above. The game as a whole is now directed towards being a casual game with lots of historical references and hundreds of unique units, techs and buildings. For any semblance of competitive gameplay, there should be lots of banned cards, techs, maps and even civs. 20+ u...

Some of these new civs have still not been explored fully, so every week brings a new fancy build order.

Basically aoe4 lowest is aoe3's highest. Interesting. I wonder if the graphs will cross paths in the future.

RE was already very filled with hackers and cheaters before DE. Now, that's all it has left. Unless you know someone and play with them.

Yeah, as eaglemut says, it helps with little micro stutters at the beginning of the game. I don't think it helps with the late game lag at all.

For me, game feels more stable with it turned on. Idk if it actually improves it, or just a placebo.

Starting out with Art of War seems like a good idea to get the basic ideas and feel of gameplay. If they have played other RTSs, they can quickly get the gist through it. And then picking up a simple civ and learning its BO should be good.

Unfortunately, my pessimism was correct. It is as if Aoe3 is invisible. Or they really like feudal knights and bows. Or they don't wanna touch a game with deals with guns and colonies and relatively recent history.

units go in one building, can come out in other building anywhere in the map. This has a cooldown . And apparantly if you have it close to the shore, you can teleport warships too.

SO devs have the power to make a unit target units selectively, still they won't make artillery target buildings instead of units. Hmmmmm.

Given that these new nats are only on historical maps, and I believe they will not be included in ranked map pool, new nats shouldn't cause much trouble. Not to be too pessimistic, but people generally consider aoeII and aoeIV when discussing age franchise. I see lots of forum and reddit posts about which age game they like, and no one mentions aoe3. It is all about aoe2 and aoe4. Even aoe1 gets mentioned sometimes.

Really impressive work. Will definitely come in handy.
