Re: How To Say
What I find the most hilarious is actually all the Germans in this thread using an EU flag instead of a German one. The EU flag just looks supercool. It's even wrong in a youtubevideo and dictionary  It should sound like this https://forvo.com/word/landsknecht/ This is it! The "Pronunciat...

Re: How To Say
The real plural for the word Ulan is Ulanen. In english, it is just called Uhlan and Uhlans though, adding an "h" and using the -s plural form. If you wanna be that guy, Ulani is actually a polish word, duh. Or turkish. Whichever theory you prefer. Ye, but talking about the german version...

It's also funny how all non-germans pronounce "Landsknecht" or "Doppelsöldner" :P They keep saying Lands-checks or Landsshacks which sounds so obnoxious  The real plural for the word Ulan is Ulanen. In english, it is just called Uhlan and Uhlans though, adding an "h&quo...

Weeks? How many pages?
a) I got some stuff to do
b) I don't own a scanner or a Multi-function printer

I don't see that guy being the best DM player ever... Nothing special in that video tbh Yeah but I mean that's probably just because no one ever plays DM anyway. he's not really the best DM player, more like the best guy who actually bothers to play it. Pretty sure dicktator for example would shit ...

Even if I am not an active engaging part of the community and thus have no real say, the whole thing still makes me lul. This guy didn't cheat just once, but multiple times, and everytime he makes his fake apologies and people grudgingly accept it after a while. Just to be diddled again. Cheating is...

Re: Anyone interested in the Minor Native Guide?
Sounds awesome. Maybe not for competitive value but definitely for nostalgic value. Definitely not for competitive value, it's quite old even if there was no patch with gameplay changes by the developers back then compared to now, but I guess it's nice to see. It will take me a week or two to scan ...

Re: Is using Discord in team games an unfair advantage?
I think it is unfair to play with people you are familiar with. A bold statement. I know I'm not alone when I say I just don't play Age of Empires anymore if I'm not playing with a mate. The social aspect of the game matters more to me than the gameplay. Would you rather not see the sizeable group ...

Re: AoE2 HD expansions
AoC is MUCH more difficult than aoe3. Aoe3 isn't really a competitive game compared to aoc or sc:bw. Any 1800 voobly guy is heaps better than a PR25 in aoe3. I can be inactive for years and play some games for a week and I can easily hold with the Pr25 here, and I suck tbh. Also don't forget that th...

Re: Team game blaming
blaming your teammates for anything has become the colloquial style in aoe3 years ago. it doesnt even rlly matter if you loose or win a game, players just generally like to state that they play like greek gods on meth whilst everybody else is worthless trash. 3v3 randoms are just random . IT seems ...

Re: Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?
you can pingtest the router though to answer the question of this topic. I actually branched the argument to another discussion, I think that's where the misunderstandings come from. 1.) Wifi vs Ethernet 2.) FTTH vs any other form of internet Why don't you just read RIot Games blog that I linked? T...

Re: Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?
2123 I have Cat5e cable in the home which can support up to 1Gbps. And for 3 extra bucks I can get a 1Gpbs connection here (with 500Mbps upload, though). So the line is clearly fiber. How else would you even connect to a router if not with a coaxial over an Ethernet port? Coaxial Cat7, Cat6 and Cat...

Re: Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?
A test with my own IP. Fluctuations are under 1ms. This is not fiber though, at least it's not 100% fiber. Just checked: my ISP infrastructure is fiber (FTTH), but they bring the signal in the home using coaxial cable. Your line is not an FTTH line, FTTH means fiber to the home, since you got a...

2123 Where did I say that there's no difference (for gaming) between an Ethernet and wifi connection? You're addressing an argument I never made. And you're bringing arguments I never disputed. You're talking about the limits of materials in transmitting data. Where the heck did I ever talk about o...

Re: Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?
Yes, exactly. All these people who talk about connection jitter and packet loss over wifi do not take into account that this is mostly from interference in your environment. It's not necessarily from your connection (ie, ISP signal). Your ISP internet may have small variations, but they should neve...

Re: Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?
None of the numbers thrown out cover why you should cable connect imo. Type of connection does affect the consistency of your internet. If you have ever had with your cellphone for example a time where you just have to refresh the page and it loads instantly. It's a time where you lost the internet...
