Cant believe they haven't undone the Dutch exp bank nerf! I am very happy about the japanese shrine hp nerf seems like a very reasonable change. I think the dev's need to look into the Brit v dutch matchup, as it seems pretty much unplayable now for the dutch player.

some units like yabusame(.28) and yojimbo(0.25) fire so fast their projectiles launch before their animation even begins and is completely desynced. you can really feel how much love the devs put into Japanese units in general when you look into the files. For some reason this just makes me sad... ...

I would only buff those underused units if it is needed to balance a specific MU/game situation. For example dopps could have their colonial stats buffed slightly in exchange for a nerf on their vet upgrade as part of a general policy to make German colonial play more viable. Grenade launcher could easily be a tech research at arsenal rather than an entire shipment that essentially does nothing and has to compete with 2 Falcons for a shipment shot.

Good point I should rephrase that. Ship colonial militia blindly unless you scout no aggression. I'd be surprised if spy rush became meta. If it became a problem you could disable spy training add a tech at church that cost like 5 coin and takes 30 seconds to research that unlocks spies.

The way I like to play this match up is to scout his second shipment with the envoy. (The first shipment is always 3 sw and you need to hide from the 2 uhlan) if it is 700c then German is going naked ff. Very exciting Dutch v China game, I feel like I am improving a lot on the positioning of my units in fights. I've really taken to heart the advice from mitoe/H2O from their stream talking about before you can learn micro you must learn positioning.

Blueberry is basically better than before (less food but works on prior torps). Xbows is a clear buff making for a great colonial.
