Re: supporting esoc anymore
based post. yes, people are expressing extremism. I think it's good that they're able to speak frankly so that we may see them for who they truly are you've always had your heart in the right place if nothing else. I'm sorry you got flamed. remember that we're all glue-eating morons living in mommy'...

I think that, at least for alcohol, you can withdraw from it hard enough that you need to wean from it. If it's bad enough.

Re: Asian politics
It seems that almost having nukes is a very convenient place for a non-superpower country to be. However it is not so when this fact is widely advertised. u184 you'll probably find this video on topic interesting, as we have similar taste https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6uxLHWVY...

don't fuck with israel, don't fuck with the usa I know you're trying to mock my previous words, but obviously when I wrote that we knew an Iranian response was coming. They got hit extremely hard. Their nuclear sites and oil fields are in flames. Their military leadership is dead. Israel has comple...

Re: US Politics Megathread
The violence was instigated by the administration and is actively cheered on by maga conservatives as demonstrated in this thread. They see disrespect towards their king as disrespectful to them. It's absurd how easy it is to just slurp up a fox news narrative. I am glad we are enjoying the illegal ...

Re: Microsoft (1975-2025) 🕯️
linux mint is already as good as windows in so many ways. I'm not sure about VR on linux, that sounds like a pain in the ass to set up consider it already isn't easy on windows. but fuck, you can even play games on linux with good performance thanks to the proton stuff gaben gave us.
screw windows.
screw windows.

Re: European politics
The data shouldn't exist in the first place, imo. You can't store the data without putting it physically somewhere, in other words a power hungry data center. It seems to me that we're spending a ton of energy (which comes at the cost of climate change), a ton of money and resources on securing this...

Re: European politics
Last year, a Chinese team announced they broke three algos from the AES cryptographic framework using quantum computers. This is what was made public, but I wonder if the USA is really behind or they can already break AES-256 but have no interest in disclosing this. It's already known that the NSA ...

Re: European politics
Investigations on private citizens? For what reason is that appropriate? Asking candidly, do you think you should be forced to give your real name in order to access the internet? Should you be forced to have your every movement stored somewhere? To me that is a huge overstep for anyone to have that...

Re: The Case for EP 2.0
Looks like the energy of the thread petered out a bit. Frankly, I would start on an EP beta with just .xml edits for lobby games. See if you can make the game feel better. If it's good then transition to possibly a more involved launcher

Re: The Case for EP 2.0
Extreme doubt that microsoft would do anything to help with this endeavor. Given the technical difficulties described ITT, it's quite possible that EP 2.0 is a pipe dream. Of course, they made it so that you can't obtain the legacy version of the game either, as an ultimate middle finger to aoe3.

Patch won't work out if you can't have a ranked ladder of sorts.

Re: The Case for EP 2.0
It probably would be DOA if it's just a "regular" mod, would have to be its own executable or you're severely handicapped. This is potentially problematic because with server-based multiplayer and more robust server anticheat you might run into server-side constraints. ESO just checked if...

Re: The Case for EP 2.0
Relying on microsoft for "one last patch" isn't going to work, even if you fix the current known broken stuff (baja, italy, whatever else) then the broken stuff than hasn't been figured out yet will just surface. You would be in the same place as now. --------------------------------------...
