Re: What I learned from climbing in team games
A few things that I wanted to share from my climb to top 500, and at one point even top 400 in team!

What I learned from climbing in team games
1. Everyone has their own strategy, and is hard to budge. You can either roll with it, do your own, or play with premades 2. People tend to be super toxic and prone to tilt. I don't understand why, but I had people ragequitting after I took their small treasure. 3. Premades are either garbage or god...

Re: Treasure guardian exploit / "creeping"
Old discussion, kinda. It's not game breaking, it takes skills, it doesn't directly hurt the opponent and it's even harder on DE because it seems they changed the behavior of treasure guardians (can't exactly manipulate the direction where they go) as well as maps being generally more crowded with ...

Re: Enjoying the new Lakota?
100c or 100f or sth more needs to remove from starting crates, all in rush too op and in some maps its just unbeatable. With some good treasures i had 29 unit pop at 6:20 and 21v, my eco not even that behind with this kind of army and im not the best lakota player or sth. Do you have a replay or BO...

Treasure guardian exploit / "creeping"
Recently i took to completing the Art of War challenges, and found that to complete the Build Order one for a gold medal, I had to use it on the CDB guarded by wolves, letting me get it quickly enough to keep my eco up.
And hence, I raise the question, and wonder if the Devs ever thought about it.

Re: Forza Basillica! A beginner's guide to Italy
Honestly feel like most players are playing Italy sub-optimally by focusing on lombard builds and Pav. Pav are marginally better than crossbows and don't scale into the late game (you shouldn't need to send 2-3 cards for a viable unit). The switching stances is too slow and doesn't give them a cav ...

Re: Enjoying the new Lakota?
Forget the fortress play. Semi-FI is the new OP meta for them. What you got from aging up: - 3 free Tokala soldiers, while the big button costs 2000 now (or 20 bisons and 30% hunting boost) - 21 infantry, and upgrade all your infantry into champions - 1000 coin 18 cheyenne riders that costs 3,330 r...

Hmm, good point. I'll need to try that out in my next game, tho the market teepee has been serving me well.

Personally, I find their cav strats to be more or less the same, if anything with a stronger start thanks to the guaranteed Teepee and Hunting dogs. You don't even feel the loss in vil cards TBF. And late game all the little changes add up quite nicely, especially the teepee ones if you get it up qu...

Re: Public Update Preview - June Update
imagine thinking africa civs are overnerfed merc shipments are strong, right? Imagine a civ that can just send 7x merc shipments in a row, and they afford this without spending a single cent from their food/wood/coin bank, so they also make units too https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/62180627336462...

Re: Public Update Preview - June Update
Ah there's still the old 3v card. But still don't see how the civ will be playable with 6 less vils. Basically you have to all in warhut rush, or all in ff into 8v follow up I guess. It's just weird imo your eco is really not that bad, you have great hunter which gives you food (12.5% of food of ...

Lakota will be so interesting to play now, unfortunately I think the loss of vil cards will be painful. Really painful.
Also those Italy cards, mmm.

Re: Forza Basillica! A beginner's guide to Italy
What unit types do you usually make based on a given enemy composition? I'm finding pavise/huss or pavise/musk awkward to macro because the two main units need different resources. Lately I've just been going musk/huss which is boring but lets me focus more on one or the other as needed without hav...

Forza Basillica! A beginner's guide to Italy
This guide is meant to help out players ease into Italian game-play without overwhelming with detailed Build Orders, given how those are still being decided upon. Italy is an extremely interesting and demanding civ to play, and one that can be quite rewarding if played to their strengths. It enjoys ...

Re: DE mercs and outlaws
I think you're overselling most units here. Zenata I would agree that they're overtuned, but the rest are fine if you keep in mind the slow training, oftentimes requiring specific cards to use them. Albanian Stradiot is a generalist that can get away from poor trades and run to NATO safety from a ra...
