Re: Hardest Otto counters
Lakota are traditionally a counter to Otto because of BR and also RR (+other good cards) with a very fast FF. I doubt any of that is particularly relevant in current DE meta. By the way I don't think abus CA is that strong considering Otto other options and often just plays in the hand of other civ....

Re: 🏆 $500 ESOC WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2024 🏆
Age2 only is definetely refreshing in a very age/tech oriented meta. There are probably some civ balance concerns but also tons of civs to pick with decent to very good age2. The issue with unknown is the gimmicky extra building/res or w/e you get at the start. On one hand it can mix things up and g...

Re: Sweden Jaeger semi FF
With Jäger being available by default they do in fact have a skirm, just not in the standard way. Going for the church tech will still be the best option on most maps since 80 :wood: 80 :coin: eats through mines way slower than 200 :coin: This build is completely outdated anyway. Check the correct ...

Hausa Ankobia semi FI
Hausa Ankobia semi FI This strategy aims to reach the industrial age quickly in order to benefit from all the shadow tech units that Hausa easily get (mostly Akan Ankobia and falconets, but also mercenaries). It is probably a well known strategy but I'm going to write down what should be the optima...

Re: Poker
Hmm ye flop isn't great, he should have a range and nut advantage even if he doesn't defend all the pocket pairs in full frequency (and it's possible field overdefend those). Atleast there is no immediate straight possible. It's not a board you want to cbet range for small. In fact you want to check...

actually it was basically not possible to cheat on the latest iteration of EP, while I'm not sure about DE where it seems even basic cheats are completely viable

Re: Poker
I want to emphasise how extreme the redline/blue line thing is for me. I have a small sample, but I think you see this both where I am slightly winning on 888 and losing on gg: You can see on both that where I appear to be winning is when I have learnt to make more folds in bigger pots and give up ...

Sweden recs
I was going to write down a new Sweden guide and post recs but cba and I only post the recs. Please note it's not a selection so they are a bit random. Some are good, some are not. I guess the relevant thing is that older games have more primitive strat/build order, newer games are more refined. htt...

Re: Poker
Those measures do stop some cheating because they make it harder. Harder = less cheating, both in terms of attempts but also effectiveness. I mean the sole fact you have to use a VM or some remote control (I don't even know how that works exactly) is a step that reduce the number of people that are ...

Re: Poker
It is a complex topic. Personally I think that any measure that makes cheating harder is welcome and still better than none. In your example, another PC would be needed, which is already a valid deterrent for some people, as it makes screen scraping a more complex task. Not to mention you need some ...

Re: Poker
A quick update from me. I switched to playing primarily tournament poker about a year ago and built up a 1-2k bankroll on unibet and around 1k on gg poker playing low and microstakes respectively. More recently I have played some cash games (my job means I don't really have time for an MTT session ...

Re: Poker
The call was 58.5 into 142.5 so I needed ~30% chance to win. I was almost certain he had QJ but figured the boat outs plus the very small chance he's bluffing or value jamming worse might get me to 30%. I was surprised to find my equity at almost 23%, I was estimating it a bit lower, anyway do you ...
