Civilization Restrictions
Amateur Division & Pro Division Group Stage and Play-in Round (Round of 16):
4.1 - Once you have won with a civilization, you may not use it again for the rest of the series. Losing a game does not disable a player’s civilization - this means that there isn’t a limit to the number of times a civilization can be played, provided the player has not won using it.
4.2 - For the 1st game in a series, players agree on a civilization matchup. For each subsequent game, the winner of the previous game selects their civilization first. This pick is final and is locked in. The opponent chooses their civilization afterwards, aka "the counterpick".
4.3 - In a Best-of-3, you must win with
2 different civilizations.
In a Best-of-5, you must win with
3 different civilizations.
In a Best-of-7, you must win with
4 different civilizations.

Pro Division Bracket Stage Rules (Quarter-Finals and beyond):
5.1 - Prior to the match, the players will hold a civilization and map draft with a tournament admin. For best-of-7 series', each player will draft 5 civilizations and 3 maps from the available pools. For the the best-of-9 grand finals, each player will draft 6 civilizations and 4 maps from the available pools. Maps may only be played ONCE per series, but civilizations may be played until the player has won using that civilization. Once a civilization or map has been selected in the draft, it is no longer available to be chosen by the other player with the exception of the last civilization pick for each player. This selection is considered a POWER PICK and may be used to select a civilization that is already in the other player's roster.
The draft will begin with the higher seed player picking their map first, then proceeding in a snake fashion as shown below:
Player A map pick
Player B map pick
Player B map pick
Player A map pick
Player A map pick
Player B Map pick
After the map draft, the players will follow the same procedure to draft civilizations.

Player B civilization pick
Player B civilization pick
Player A civilization pick
