ah it's okay, a lot more was said but that's fine, i'm not here to air one's dirty laundry and I wont show more than this. This specific one to me was just kinda funny which is why I showed it

Some excellent play @don_artie I only came in at the end of the Port vs France battles. That last pop of mams, MM and hussar was amazing, but followed up by an even more impressive use of the spyglass to snipe those artillery!

(that monitor attack always was too good vs artillery) but you used it expertly.

game 5 was pretty good too.

Well I played total garbage, far from high level really. And it's just hard to beat stuff like port water or sweden lame if you're not playing very well. Like I mentioned recently I'm unable to play anywhere near the level I used to have so I just quit for now, no point going on if I can't reach semis or finals like I used to. Well played @don_artie anyway, adapted well to the DE meta I guess.

That's really a stupid comment though. Any top EP player has a lot of expertise about the game. This series just shows that you should play actively and not once a week or less, otherwise you end up having trash mechanics. Regardless of strats, if I had decent mechanics, this series wouldn't have been close. And that's true against any water lame / musk spam you can face, be it on DE or EP.

Yeah I'm aware of that. I just said your comment was stupid because to me it sounded like I'd have to adapt to the "new meta". If you just meant playing the OP civ, then yeah I agree.
I refuse to play it, but not because it's the best. Rather because I think the civ is inherently unhealthy and problematic for the game, by design. Not gonna extend too much on this topic, I think everyone understands why torps are dumb, why 1-unit compositions are dumb, and why 15 range 30% rr musks are dumb.

I believe people should ban this kind of stuff instead of play it (think about how iro was virtually banned by everyone because it was too OP, even in qs). I know I'm stupid by thinking this and should abuse it in tourney. I know I'm not playing the best stuff. Whatever

It's absolutely not about the lag. It's frustration. But I support him if he wants to take a break. Not good to play when you're not in the right frame of mind. That would only make things worse. So, yeah fully support him. :)
