Unlike the Age IV Closed Beta, we will not be enforcing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) during the Technical Stress Test. We want to encourage you to play as much as possible and reduce the steps you need to take to join us. We also want to make sure you’re able to invite and play with your friends during this window of time.
Finally being able to talk about the game will be nice.
I will play it tomorrow but just watching streams tonight after footy and eating dinner, cant help but feel the 'magic' i felt when i first played in the beta is just not there. I remember appreciating aoe3 more after that aswell
I gotta go out so I can't play but I loaded the game vs an AI and clicked around a bit. I think I'm cautiously optimistic that the game feels better than it did before.

Hm, the game looks good and all, but I have a lot of troubles with hotkeys and selections too, maybe it's just not what I'm used too, like it seems not being able to have the same hotkey for different things.
And is it me or we can't change anything about the hotkeys ? Like basically attack move ?
I've tasked something else on Q and now I can't AM anymore.
Can someone tell me what is up with the off putting holograms when making a building? Why does it have to look like this? Seems like they designed the game to be played by kids, also the highlight when right clicking is so big its disturbing.
All in all pretty dissapointed, will be staying at AOE 3 100%
the ui is pretty crappy for me tbh ngl ( no score, challenge on top left for some reason, no image for technology (they all look the same), we do not see enough the stats of the units aswell, big windows on top right for some reason )

Civs are way more unique, you can trade in 1v1 so gold doesnt run out that quickly and overall there's more on the map, quick walling doesn't exist as much I'd say.
It's obviously more similar to aoe2, but it also ahs aoe3 elements.
It's better than I expected. The map graphics look pretty good, though the game overall has a 0AD unpolished feel to it. It's obviously unfinished.
Can't expect normal functions, so didn't even try to use hotkeys.
It's AOE2 with updated graphics. I don't see any AOE3 elements in it.
The UI is rough and kinda primitive, but it has some nice graphic effects.
It might be a decent game in a year or two but it's AOE2.
the micro of unit seems very very different ( arrows don't miss their target ), age up just completely different, ui minimap, all these things are completely different compared to aoe2 and maybe i miss some
AOE2-ers are probly complaining it doesn't feel 100% like their old game.
But it has cav scouts, you rely on sheep in age1 to get food right away, cheap farms in age1, wood plays a big role in everything because you need to have a building for everything, dropoff gathering points, you can build barracks in age1, there are no hunts next to TC and hunts are very sparse and far just like in AOE2, so you have to send the scout to get sheep, etc. All these are AOE2 mechanics. The TC also shoots arrows even if there are no garrisoned vills.

wait is the hotkey thing a long time issue?
Yes, this has been an issue for literally years and the plan was always for it to be like this on release in regards to hotkeys, from what I saw.
