So i played a 2v2 team game on black forest my & my mate both fre and they were england & Abassaid ,we shud be winning this ez right? looks like nope ,with this fcking choke points and this broken unit called Springalds rekts anything in ur way trust me if you haven't experienced this b4 this dude will start abusing it from now & so others,50 royal knights or so goes into vsing this open field ,elite royal knights get rekt ,behind walls you can't do anything ,the dude first made some units and got rekt obvisouly then he made small mass of these siege units called springalds i thought he was trolling and meme'ing & doing as a last effort before losing ,but nope looks like they clean up anything & started massing more & eventaully won the game by neutralising pushes and building a wonder.

It's not like we had shit eco we had huge eco lead and with 6k+ score and this guy manages to win like this

Yeah this unit is decent fast They go brrrrrrrr ,packing unpacking as well ,but most important part is 12 tile range high mobility,basically Big Yumi version in aoe4 ,60 dmg vs any unit with 3.33 attack/s ,this unit is made to work like culverins & countering still units behind walls & what this does hits moving targets as well and close range too ?? there is no malus vs cavalry just raw damage all i'm saying is they need to nerf and add malus else broken for a unit costing 200w 200g doing cost effective trades.

devs need to fix this asap either put a build limit or nerf the stats on this unit either way somehow but i think the cav unit go siege which is stupid and not attack with their swords is also another issue,i call this illegal because this isn't supposed to work in this way lol ,this ain't aoe4 xD

I think you were just making the wrong units there bud. Springalds are great vs high value targets so knights are simply not the best unit to make vs them. Also, you have culverins as french from the college of artillery (definitely the landmark to use on this map) which outrange springalds by 2 and one shot them.

Also yeah I believe all melee units use their torch attack vs siege which I believe is a 20 across the board (can somebody please confirm). So a vill does the same damage vs siege as a knight

I think one of the better options is hand cannoneers. They also have high damage but you can mass more and springs are single target. Walls and range can be an issue tho. But I think like 10 cann one shot a spring.

Also springs do very poorly against keeps

So update on torch damage:
Apparently melee units other than villagers get a bonus by age
Age 1: 10
Age 2: 13
Age 3: 16
Age 4: 20
With a +10 vs siege
Firelancer does base 45 torch damage with +10 vs siege

Attack speed is of 2s per hit, so DPS is basically half the attack

Can cannoneers not shoot through walls?

Nice work ,apparently the issue to address is Torch/siege dmg is really low compared to main stats of units but ,in aoe3 they just attack artillery normally same goes for aoe2 as well & behave differently when close by,in aoe4 they siege so all the units just group up and try siege 1 unit and the melee units just becomes useless because they can't reach inner part of units as the outer one blocks em ,while this might be realistic & ok vs rams etc but not vs springalds
Springalds have 100% accuracy over any target being in motion or still ,unlike mangonels who can shoot at a range when too close can't hit

So i already saw this broken unit after a week it's released and LOWppl slowly realise it but it's not patched at all? wtf

The late chinese rocket is 10x worst than anything else tbh... that's absolutely broken, 10x worst than springalds.

The closest thing to a counter for springalds is scouts cause aoe4's damage system for siege is really really bad... I wonder if the devs have some weird idea about making gocarts in this game... i.e.) mongol tc super fast, springalds like gocarts super op
