Known exploits
Known exploits
So there's the rus relic duplication thing, and then just now we were in a 3v3 and the enemy team started building a wonder and immediately canceling it, like 30x in a row. Turns out they were getting 4k of each res back from canceling it, and only paying 3k of each. So they had infinite res.
Anything else?
Important related question: Does relic know what a hotfix is?

?!? You get resources from cancelling a wonder now? Is this with all civs?Goodspeed wrote:So there's the rus relic duplication thing, and then just now we were in a 3v3 and the enemy team started building a wonder and immediately canceling it, like 30x in a row. Re: Known exploits
It's probably to compensate for lack of factories. Gotta get those resources somehow in a long game!

Re: Known exploits
its the university tech for buildings, 30% hp I think. After you tech that, canceling buildings return more then it was spent.
yesterday in the stream they mentioned that they were already aware of the bug, that apparently was discovered in the same day, and "looking into it"
hopefully they dont wait a month for this hotfix

Re: Known exploits
Destroying the wonders before they're built gives you a payout from your insurance company. This isn't a bug, it's a feature to make the game more realistic

Re: Known exploits
Has anyone noticed there's some kinda indestructable wall bug? Some unfinished walls you can't attack nor select to attack... I'm not sure how it works. There's also another bug where if an opponent is close to ur wall u cant repair ur wall sometimes?

Speakin of that, anyone got new hook ups?iNcog wrote:I mean, we survived moesbar. we will survive this

Did we really survive moesbar? I'd pinpoint moesbar as one of the main reasons many people lost interest in aoe3.iNcog wrote:I mean, we survived moesbar. we will survive this

Re: Known exploits
You can get infinite resources by researching a technology that increases your building health. For some reason, this tech also increases the value of the buildings after they're built. So you can build and cancel buildings to get infinite resources. I am surprised this and the relic bug have not been hotfixes yet. The roadmap looks nice, but it is worrying that there are no devs available to do a simple hotfix.

So it works on all buildings?lemmings121 wrote:its the university tech for buildings, 30% hp I think. After you tech that, canceling buildings return more then it was spent.

That's much worse since that way you don't need 3k of each. You could get infinite res as soon as you have that upgrade and some wood. And if you only do it with non-wonder buildings your opponents would never know you were doing it unless they watched the replay. At least with the wonder spam you get the constant "... is building a wonder" notification

Re: Known exploits
It works on all buildings. It was first discovered by spamming outposts. Then some jerk decided to build a wonder and figured out it gives 900 resources.

Re: Known exploits
Yeah all buildings. Considering rus infinite gold is still in game, they should really work for a hotfix asap for those 2 bugs at least

Re: Known exploits
The walling mechanics is riddled with bugs too and I'd even say probably are responsible for a good chunk of my loses.

Re: Known exploits
Just saw another disgusting exploit... Not sure if I can name the guy for cheating as per rules of the site? As Rus you can use conversion and run with your monk holding the relic guaranteeing a mass conversion. Luckily, I barely won the game.

Apparently you can now stack the Abbasid techs to have infinite range on spearmen and infinite armor on camels. So you can sit in base and snipe landmarks with spearmen

Re: Known exploits
Theres a out of sync "de-sync" hack people are using now. It's becoming more wide spread in low level team games sadly.
