Do military ranks even make sense in this time frame? I love it. Simple is better, giving consistent styling and it translates across games using similar scheme of progression.

Well warlords, commanders and the likes have been a thing for centuries.

At least the highest rank is called Conqueror. Weird that it has subdivisons too (I, II, III). I bet we will see a Top 100 or Top 200 list as Conqueror I or as a seperate tier.

There are dozens of new hotkeys on this beta that you can explore. Things like select stables, cycle stables etc.

They still don't have "construct X" hotkeys. Hate the grid system especially everytime I hit the wrong first grid key and it's trying to build me a farm instead of a range and then I have to hit escape to get out. Also not looking forward to having to play boulder bay and archipelago in ranked games.

Actually not 100% sure since they don't have single player in the beta and the workaround was queuing up a skirmish if you hit a bad map

Is The game big enough for it to even make sense with this typ of ranking. Just put The 1-50.000 ladder from The website ingame and focus on balance instead of this?
