AOE4 siege of paris

Hi All
Can anyone help with aoe4 siege of paris? I've lost count of the number of times I've tried this now and tried everything I've read online. my last attempt my mouse got thrown across the room in frustration
I'm not great at this game thing and a bit of a beginner and not great with the hotkeys etc. I've tried creating as many villagers as possible and getting them onto food, wood etc at the same time as creating archers and albatiers, spearman and men at arms when resources allow. I've tried creating another town centre at the southern end of city. I've tried upgrading everywhere. I've tried the springalds, upgrading to boiling oil you name it I've tried all the suggestions but nothings working.
help please before my new gaming lap top goes out the window
