ESOC and the Royal Clan are teaming up to bring the next big team tournament in Age of Empires 3. The $1000 Ace of Spades tournament will be a 2v2 tournament with an upper and lower league, featuring Age of Empires 3's first swiss style group stage followed by a single elimination bracket to determine the best 2v2 team in AoE3. Each team will consist at most of three players (2v2 team plus 1 substitute) with a small buy-in of $10 per team. In order to create unique and interesting matchups the teams will have to select civilizations from the gold and iron civilization pools, for the full tournament rules, see here. The tournament will begin the week of April 25th and last for ~six weeks. Sign-ups are open now!

Does that mean the event starts on a Sunday, or should this say April 25th?

Is it known what Best of size the swiss stage or finals stage will be?

Groups will be released on Sunday and have the week to play each round, swiss stage will be bo3 and final stage will be bo5.

Okay thanks, so some players that signed up for the tourney will vote? Sounds like an incentive to vote for your own civs to be in tier 2 haha
