It still 50w? Don't you guys think is expensive? I mean 5w for a wall segment but 50w for a gate WTF

Gate cost 25w seems reasonable but if gate costs 50w then the hp of that gate wall should be buffed imo.

I am happy with current cost, hp, look, etc... of the walls and gate. ES made it just right.

Well you don't have to walls like Kynisie but 50w for a gate seems very expensive even for me (comparing with just 5w for wall), a player who don't like to make walls

Sounds good for 25w but although it sounds fear increase the "wall"(gate) HP cause you pay twice in a wall (5+50w) when you are making gate it is not good idea because all player will start making "gate walls" not wall itself :chinese: and to pay of the ammount of gates you make considerating its cost it should have x10 HP when you make a gate

I think wall and gate costs were confused by the developers. A gate is basically a big hole in a wall. It should be cheaper than the wall itself. The correct costs are 50w for each piece of wall and a refund of 25w for each gate.

In the first EP versions, gates used to have 3500 HP but it got nerfed.

Due to the way walls work in AoE3, there is pretty much no point in making gates or certain types of wall segments have different HP, aside from causing more confusion. As soon as any part of a wall becomes damaged, that damage spreads to adjacent walls of any type and the HP of all affected parts of the wall is immediately reduced to that of the lowest HP wall segment of those affected. In practice, this means that a high HP gate would immediately lose any extra HP that it has over regular walls whenever it gets attacked, unless there are no adjacent walls of another type.

If you think gates are too expensive you can delete your walls to exit your base and rebuild them to close :lol:

Gates currently offer a lot of utility so are probably justified to be 50w

I've taken a lot of inspiration from Kynesie in my pr25 games. At least when it comes to walling.

I am just saying could be less like 5x or 3x the cost of a wall
