Rules for getting to group stage if tied
So, I'm a bit confused with how the group stages were determined if there was a tie. For example, me and henriksveen both lost to wookl. And that was it.
I think I put in a lot of effort to try and schedule times to play in the bracket stage but wasn't pushed through to next round. Other members just mentioned they were on all the time or "I'm on now" a couple times. There was no attempt to schedule any of the group matches. No responses to if my times worked. I'm in Group 1 btw. Was it just the person with the higher elo who got put through?
I know I'm not a favorite or anything, but it's not like I'm a ms and he's a lieutenant colonel.

Rank should be irrelevant if games were played.

I had to play a tiebreaker in my group as 3 were tied. No idea who had the higher elo in our group though.

Thing is feels like I was only one trying to actually play games. I specifically asked if people could post times since there had been no response. Then original deadline passes and then a couple posts are about "I'm online now" which doesn't help at all with our different time zones. I've been trying to play for two weeks not one time of availability was posted by someone else. A bit frustrated about this.

What you should do is send admins a PM inquiring about the situation.

Rank shouldn't make a difference, but your effort in trying to schedule should. I agree saying 'I'm online now' everyday isn't the most useful, but nor is not saying much in the scheduling forums either. I'm not sure of the specifics in your group, the tournament admins can help, but sometimes a judgement call has to be made - one which undoubtedly not all parties will agree with. I know from my time running the NerVe tournament a while back that there are some tough decisions that need to be made in various scenarios.

We had to make a few really tough calls. I think your group was the toughest. It's good we got to pass both of you through. Good luck in the tournament.
